One of the worst experiences with a law firm ever. Where to start here....where to start. 1. Their billing department is cold, aggressive, and has zero empathy. The billing department is way over active. Even though I had half of my retainer still as the balance, they demanded I give them thousands more. Even after my case was dismissed. They called. They emailed. They threatened numerous times to end the contract even though they still had thousands in the retainer. It was completely unnecessary, unprofessional and, to be honest, it was absolutely disgusting the way they treated me. 2. Their lawyer intentionally called me without scheduling a call and giving me a purpose of the call ahead of time so I could prepare. I recieved two or three unprompted phone calls like this that ended up costing a lot of money that could have been avoided costs or, if planned, it could have been at a reduced cost. 3. The lawyer tried to set up and hold a meeting with my ex wife's lawyer and began the process before even speaking with me further ringing up charges. 4. I wrote both of the motions that they used to file and they still billed my full cost to research, write, and submit these motions. Overall, this law firm will try to take every dime you give them and their billing department are rude and aggressive even if you have paid them. I ended the contract and wanted to leave this review so others could learn from my mistake in picking them. ***Edit/addition: Weighing in after the tepid response from the Valley Law Group. I talked with them multiple times in the billing department that half of the retainer was still in the account and that my case was dismissed. They were well aware of their aggressive approach to get more money from me as well as continuously threaten me with unrealistic deadlines and promises to end the contract despite having thousands in the account. Do not see their response as anything other than damage control from how badly they treat and charge clients. They will do nothing to actually address anything. They spent around 4k of my retainer and did nearly nothing at all and hassled me for more money continuously. STEER CLEAR of these uncaring snakes.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAW FIRM!!!! WOW, I’m not the only one who got taking for a ride with this law firm. These are people’s lives and families that you take into your hands, when they confide in you to do the righteous by them and what they pay for. We had most horrible experience with this law firm! We paid well over $12,000.. And the clowns are still requesting over $3,000 more for NOTHING!! We got switched between 3 different attorneys and paralegals, Got switched to a new attorney on the Friday before trial on Monday morning. This newly assigned attorney was NOT familiar with our case at all, she called me on Sunday late evening to try to get information for trial on Monday, Then Monday they let us get slaughtered in court. This attorney let evidence get submitted from the opposing party at trial which dishonorable judge Patricia Starr allowed. Not only that, the opposing parties council did NOT know it was a trial. He thought it was an evident hearing. Which at that point the attorney working for Valley law group should have stood up right away and asked for our trial to be continued for a later date. The opposing party submitted NO evidence except for the one piece of paper they submitted in trial. We got no grandparenting rights to our grandsons of our deceased son who was murder. While I’m grieving my Son’s passing, after using this Law firm I’m now grieving never be able to see our grandson’s again, that we helped raised. I highly do NOT recommend this law firm. Then Ryan had the nerve to tell me at a low retainer fee for $10,000, we can appeal the judges decision at higher court. What a joke this law firm is.!!! And dishonorable judge Patricia Starr, be careful if you do use this law firm and they send you to that dishonorable judge Patricia Starr. This law firm doesn’t care about their clients and best interests of children. In my opinion they put on good show for their business. But will let you get slaughtered at a highly cost amount of……. DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!!

Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment toward The Valley Law Group’s family law services is mixed, as reflected in customer reviews. Several reviewers voice frustration with billing practices, citing communication issues, aggressive retainer demands, and staff interactions described as insensitive or unprofessional. Others point to concerns with representation, such as attorney changes, limited guidance, and lack of consistent support during stressful personal cases. Positive feedback does exist for select attorneys and staff, highlighting approachability and dedication, but criticisms about both costs and communication are prominent.

Frequent themes include problems with billing clarity, unexpectedly high or recurring charges, and clients having to manage their own case communications. Multiple reviews mention attorney turnover and difficulty establishing continuity of representation. However, positive references are made to individual attorneys, such as Ryan Reppucci, Mr. McCarty, and Mr. Martin, praised for promptness, care, and effectiveness. The firm’s staff and office environment are also described as kind, helpful, and professional in some instances.

Overall, The Valley Law Group is seen as providing inconsistent experiences in family law within Arizona.
