Reviews Summary

Customer feedback for The ADHD Centre’s mental health clinic reveals a mixed reputation. Several reviewers praise staff members like Dr. Rostamipour, Dr. Chowdhury, and Dr. Kelleher for being compassionate, thorough, and attentive, often making patients feel at ease and listened to during assessments and ongoing treatment. However, negative experiences are also commonly reported, particularly surrounding high costs, delays, communication lapses, and dissatisfaction with administrative processes and shared care agreements. Some clients mention feeling exploited financially or left unsupported in their clinical journey.

Key themes in the reviews include variation in doctor engagement, inconsistency in administrative efficiency, and issues with timely delivery of documents and prescriptions. While a number of individuals highlight empathetic and comprehensive care from particular clinicians, others describe rushed consultations, lack of follow-through, and difficulty accessing necessary paperwork or aftercare. Both the assessment experience and follow-up seem highly dependent on the specific staff involved.

In summary, The ADHD Centre garners strong loyalty from those who build a successful clinician-patient rapport but faces significant criticism for inconsistent service delivery and administrative hiccups. Its reputation in the mental health sector is thus balanced—marked by periodic excellence in personal care but hampered by persistent operational challenges, particularly for those navigating private and NHS pathways.

I’ve had a truly awful experience dealing with this company. My “doctor” was late for every appointment, sometimes I was waiting on zoom for 20 minutes staring at a blank screen. Once the doctor arrived and was in the process of giving me life changing information, he appeared to be solely interested in box ticking without expanding on the clearly scripted questions or showing any concern for his patient in need. Consultations were over in 10 minutes (after having waited 20 minutes for the doctor) at a cost to me of about £20/minute. Sadly, this was just beginning. I was started on the lowest possible doses of two medications, not the recommended doses. At first this seems like a responsible thing to do. However, each consultation is close to £200 plus the prescription from their private pharmacy was well over £100, totalling hundreds of pounds per consultation. The increments that they decided to increase my medication with each consultation were laughably small leading to many consultations. In hindsight, I have come to realise that at this point they were milking me for all the money they could get. By the time I noticed the medication working (possibly placebo). I’d spent thousands, this left me with the decision to move forward with the treatment or have huge sunk costs. As a man desperately trying to improve his life, I decided to move forward only to find more costs and more pain. Throughout the treatment process and on their website they speak of a “shared care agreement” between them and the GP which means no more consultations and 1/10th the cost of the prescribed medication via the NHS. Naturally, I tried to get this sorted as soon as possible. After weeks of waiting for documents along with paying hundreds for the medication through the ADHD centre’s private pharmacy (another money spinner). I came to find that my GP does not in fact support this type of agreement at all, rarely do any doctors according to my GP. In my opinion, doctors do not do this type of thing as it increases their liabilities and they want to shield themselves from third party intervention as much as possible. As one of the prescriptions is a medicine used regularly by the NHS, my GP could provide that one alone. Desperate, worn down from decades of pain for as long as I can remember and thousands of pounds down. I tried it the single medication. It was awful. I had constant sleepless nights, I do not wish to go in to further detail on a public page but just know that it was an extremely difficult time. When they contacted me guess what ? They wanted me to pay hundreds more for another consultation because I’d “stopped taking one of the medications”. I have spent thousands with this firm and I’m left with nothing. They prey on the mental weaknesses of the general public in order to generate profit. In my opinion, the dregs of society. I wish I could leave a 0 star review.

Dr. Rostamipour has gone above and beyond in caring for me. He truly listened to my concerns and approached my situation with a thoughtful, holistic perspective. His expertise and deep understanding have made an incredible difference—I feel better than I ever have. He has truly changed my life, and I couldn't recommend him more highly.

As someone currently struggling with ADHD, I made the decision to go private and searched extensively for the right support—willing to invest significantly in getting proper care. Unfortunately, my experience with this clinic has been extremely disappointing. While the staff I’ve interacted with have generally been pleasant, the overall process has been marked by inefficiency, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy for someone actively seeking help. I’ve had to constantly chase for updates and clarification. Every consultation with the doctor has started 10-15 minutes late, and the overall process has been riddled with delays. After finally receiving a prescription and planning my work week around working from home to wait for the delivery, I was informed of yet another delay this time due to the clinic failing to confirm my details in time for the appropriate delivery which has pushed back the treatment process again. There are many ADHD services available online, and based on my experience, I would strongly advise against choosing this clinic. I’m not someone who typically writes negative reviews, but ADHD is a serious condition, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the frustrating experience I’ve had. Unfortunately, I’m now stuck dealing with this clinic until a shared care agreement is arranged with my personal doctor.

Frequently Asked Questions About The ADHD Centre London

Do consultations at The ADHD Centre always start on time?

Several reviews mention late-starting appointments, with delays ranging from 10 to 20 minutes. While some doctors are described as attentive once present, clients should anticipate potential waiting periods before consultations begin.

Is the process for shared care agreements with NHS GPs straightforward?

Customer feedback indicates that arranging a shared care agreement between The ADHD Centre and NHS GPs can be slow and is sometimes unsuccessful. Not all GPs agree to shared care, which may lead to extended reliance on private prescriptions.

Are assessment documents and reports delivered promptly after appointments?

There are mixed experiences with report delivery. Some customers report significant delays—weeks or more—in receiving assessment reports, while others received paperwork with minimal issue. Timeliness appears to depend on administrative workflow and staff availability.
