My experience with POINT was very positive. Anita treated me with professionalism, respect, and courtesy throughout the entire loan process. While it took a little longer than expected, I was kept informed of where we were in the process with regular updates. Excellent communication! They never hesitated to answer any questions, they always did so promptly and made sure I was satisfied with the answers I received and/or the information I was given. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a Home Equity Investment Loan. They also do other loan types and are an awesome group of people to work with. Every agent I spoke to treated me with the same high level of professionalism, courtesy, and respect. Again, I highly recommend.

I got an offer in the mail and checked the BBB and saw several complaints with the last being in April 2025. As a result, I shredded the offer. Do not engage with this company until you have done your due diligence.

Point made 450k from my 180k investment in Santa Clara home as the home appreciated but they were extremely unfriendly when I asked them to appraise the property without charge as they over charge me the appreciation with sale price of $1.9 million while I already sold the home to private investors at $1.6m only. Once they send out the pay out amount where they over charged me then they would not even respond to my emails. In the beginning when I took the loan, they appraised it but took 10 percent value lower. Their clauses and principles are bad. They are bad type of loan. Avoid at all costs. Reach me with any questions Update on July 1st. Point came back and tried to respond to review here as they know they will lose business. They waived the appraisal fees but they have appraiser who have such a bad appraisal increasing the price of home by 200k. When I sent a comp of a near by home that was sold for 1.6m even their appraiser gave my home 1.75m even though my home was not in best condition, they responded saying they won't change the appraisal as it's closed already. I faced such resistance from them. When I took the loan, they took off 10 percent and now they added 200k and used their appraiser which was faulty. They are after your equity. Contact me I will share some useful information and my horrible experience with them if you need but don't take a loan from them.
