Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment toward Philo's streaming service is predominantly negative, with reviewers expressing frequent frustration over content availability, poor episode organization, excessive advertising, and technical glitches. A small minority of customers report satisfaction with the low subscription price and lack of price hikes for existing users, but these are outnumbered by those dissatisfied with value and performance.

The most common criticisms highlight a limited selection of programming, episodes presented out of order or missing, and recurring complaints about repeated and intrusive commercials. Technical issues such as episodes failing to load, series continuity problems, unwieldy navigation, and black screen commercial slots are also noted. Both free and paid tiers are subject to negative feedback, with particular resentment toward price increases and advertising quantity.

Based on these reviews, Philo’s reputation as a streaming platform is poor, especially among users seeking a broad, reliable, and user-friendly experience. While a few long-term subscribers appreciate pricing stability, the majority of feedback from recent users across regions points to unresolved service quality and usability concerns.

Downloaded app to watch a show that I couldn't find anywhere else for free. I guess you get what you paid for. Would most certainly NOT pay for the service. Episodes and seasons are out of order or completely missing. The format looks like the shows were recorded on a VCR.

Limited selection often only having one or two episodes of each series. Despite premium pricing there are more adds then free TV and no option to skip them or even rewind to catch something that got away from you without being forced to watch the adds all over again. I’d probably not watch this streaming service at just the price or adds but when you combine both the owners must be smoking something if they think consumers would be happy with their service

Save your money. Everything on Philo can be found free somewhere else. This company is run by youngsters that haven't a clue how to offer a true streaming service. What you will get is a loop of the same commercials over and over that take up most of the show you are watching throughout the day. You will get a catalog of old, classic programs but nothing new or live unless you are watching Andy Griffith live! You will also get the DEI programming and I will not buy what is shoved down my throat. Total waste of money.
