I can’t say enough good things about Melissa at Octopus Energy! She has been an absolute lifesaver, helping me navigate multiple issues with patience, professionalism, and a truly impressive depth of knowledge. Every time I’ve reached out, she’s gone above and beyond to make sure everything was handled quickly and thoroughly. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and genuinely caring—Melissa made a potentially stressful experience smooth and even pleasant. She is the reason why I will continue to use Octopus Energy. They are incredibly lucky to have her, and I’m so grateful for all her support. Five stars all the way!

This is one of the worst companies ever. Whoever is in their billing department is incompetent to say the least. First the company was good at first. I enjoyed their fan discount program that will save you a few dollars a month. That's the ONLY thing good about them. My bill for June was due on the 2nd and my lights were disconnected on the 5th with no disconnect warning or letter which is mandatory according to Texas law and the PUCT. They have violated both. When I called on the phone on the 5th of June to see why the lights were turned off, they stated that "it was a mistake." I was placed on hold for almost 30 minutes. While I was on the phone waiting for the rep to come back on the line I received an email from them for a disconnection of services. They were trying to cover their own asses at this point. When the rep came back on the phone she informed me the lights would be turned back on and they were within the hour. On the 6th, the next day, I received another email stating that I would receive a formal letter for disconnect. I just received the letter on Friday June 20. After they had already disconnected my service twice. So again 3 days ago I receive yet ANOTHER disconnect notice for a bill that isn't due until July 2. This has gotten to be the most ridiculous situation with these people. I will be sending an email to Nicholas Chaset Executive vice president as well as emails to PUCT and the office of the inspector general. If I need to sue Octopus energy in court for anxiety and stress I have no problem with that . These people clearly have no regards for the laws of Texas or the laws of the PUCT. If anyone else is experiencing this please email me or send a message to start a class action law suit. This company should not be operating in Texas or anywhere else. The customer service people have no customer service skills at all to add insult to injury. I will be seeking another electric provider that obey the rules that are set for them. There are rules in place for a reason a reason Octopus energy, follow them.

Back in 2022, when they were a smaller company, they were the best around! Costumer service was great too. NOWWW! 2025? Absolutely not. A manager name Luis in Houston literally used CHAT GPT to respond to a serious concern about my bill.. unprofessional as I don’t know what. So was the Houston calling center employees. Not to mention the rates are just as high as anyone else now. I’ll definitely be doing my research and switching ASAP! *update* I want to take time to share that Luis absolutely went above and beyond to amend this matter. I have to applaud him and the Octopus Energy team for not just writing me off and handling my concerns closely. I sincerely appreciate it!
