This is some text inside of a div block.
It's hard to tell if I'm saving the advertised 10% because their billing operation is so screwed up. They claim this is partly because they get late and/or incorrect from National Grid. This may or may not be true, but what I see is high bills supposedly because of multiple cycles billed at once. Occasionally, they claim the problem has been fixed, but it never is. Also, and unlike virtually all companies I've encountered, they insist on saving my credit card number as a default, rather than making that an opt-in feature. I've asked them multiple times to change this. They say they'll "look into it" but it's been years and there is no change--very frustrating. I'm sticking with them, for now, but, as I say, their billing operation leaves much to be desired.

It was a terrible experience. I paid 30% more than with Unitil alone, customer service was not helpful. When I asked to cancel, they refused to accommodate for many months. This is not a cost saving strategy , I believe it’s a bit of a scam. You can’t figure out the unit of energy you’re paying for: they billed me for the panels allocated, I couldn’t wait to end it.

I didn't really notice any cost saving, even though it was shown on my bill. It seemed to me like I was actually paying more each month but I admit I wasn't keeping track that closely. What really annoyed me was trying to cancel. I was told they would continue billing me for another 90 days after I made my cancellation because their billing was three months behind. However, I had copies of all the bills I paid for previous months right up to the current month, so that was not accurate. I was also told I would receive an email confirming my cancellation, which I never received. I am going to have to have my bank stop auto paying Nexamp, as they do not seem trustworthy.

Reviews Summary

Overall, reviewer sentiment toward Nexamp’s solar energy service is predominantly negative, with many expressing frustration over billing issues, lack of transparency, and poor customer support. Positive reviews are present but notably outnumbered by negative ones, which consistently mention difficulties with cancellations, unexplained charges, and unsatisfactory responsiveness from Nexamp staff. While some customers note cost savings and environmental benefits, unresolved complaints and communication problems figure prominently.

Frequent themes include confusion over bill amounts, infrequent or inconsistent energy credits, unexpected fees, and long wait times for customer service responses. Several reviewers raise concerns about the lack of clear communication regarding project statuses, site issues, and notification procedures. A minority of reviews highlight successful savings and a smooth process, but even these are less detailed and less frequent compared to the recurring operational criticisms.

In summary, Nexamp’s reputation within this set of reviews is mixed but trends negative, especially in regions like Maine and New York. While the company serves as a solar energy provider with some long-term, satisfied customers, most reviewers raise significant concerns about service reliability and customer care. Nexamp is viewed as reliable by a few, but persistent operational and communication challenges undermine broader trust in their service, particularly among those facing account or billing issues.
