Gutters are clean but worker trampled plants in garden. Not happy with the service. I called to complain about being charged $150 to have my hostas ruined. Was told I would get a call back after a manager looked into it. Never heard back

I prepaid for the "platinum service" that includes four gutter cleanings with free inspections and basic repairs of reattaching gutters/downspouts if needed. As soon as they arrived, I went out front and let them know that there was only one gutter issue I knew of -- the loose gutter on the left side of the house that had come free of one of the moorings. The issue was very obvious, at eye level and easily accessible, and as I said I specifically directed both of the people who arrived where it was. However, after they left I went out to find that they hadn't fixed the issue, which means they did not perform the quality inspection that is supposed to be part of my platinum plan, and the reason why I chose Ned Stevens to provide this service. EDITED TO ADD —— After calling to cancel the remainder of my gutter cleaning plan, they did return to look at the gutter system and repair the problem gutter. However, I did have to wait on hold for the requisite 20 minutes before anyone would answer the call. The agent got noticeably frustrated when the offer of a free dryer vent cleaning didn’t convince me to keep my plan, which tells me that they must have a quota to stem cancellations, which means cancellations must be high.

After the first 2 gutter cleanings I had to contact customer service for multiple issues. The crew walked so heavy on my rooftop that I thought they were going to come through it. Stomping is no way to treat shingles. Especially when they are getting older. I asked the crew not to run the hose from the peak of the roof at the gable because there were leaks patched in that area. Unfortunately, the crew doesn't speak English and didn't understand what I was trying to express and said have to check gutter flow. You don't need to run the water from the peak of the roof to do that. Immediately after leaving, When the crew was cleaning the leaves off the ground that came out of the gutters they blew them up against my home onto our gravel pathways where we have animal figurines. When gathering the leaves, the crew scooped up 3 of my figurines and put them in the trash. There was only room for 1 bag of trash in our trash can so they left 1 bag outside the can. This service was done on trash day so that bag went with the sanitation pick up. The next morning my husband noticed the missing figurines and looked in the remaining bag only to retrieve 1 of the 3 that were scooped up with the debris. I could see one section of my gutter near the downspout was still full of twigs. I was so angry at the stomping, lack of ability to communicate and carelessness I called customer service to cancel the service. I was told that they would make sure that any future service crews would NOT STOMP on my roof, run the hose from the peak, would make sure that the gutters were thoroughly cleaned and would not blow the mess AGAINST the house. I was asked to stay on and given a cleaning at no charge. The next 2 cleanings, the crew did walk more softly on the roof and were more attentive to the hose. They cleaned up appropriately and although still very little English spoken were very pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised. Then while doing my bills I realize that my charges add up to more than the amount the sales rep quoted me for the service. I pull up the contract and double check and see that I am correct. I was paying much more than I was quoted. I AGAIN contact the company only to get a lot of I am sorry for the misunderstanding but that is the pricing because even though we have your credit card on file you are on a pay as you go plan so that is your price. The quoted price was if you paid in full up front. We apologize that you misunderstood the sales rep. I said I have the emailed paperwork right here and I am supposed to get this many gutter services for this much money. NOWHERE does it state I pay more because I am not paying up front. I was also told that the 6 services listed on the paperwork were not what I was getting for the price quoted on the paperwork. I was only to get 4 services, but the price was still much higher than the quoted price. I can say that I have never dealt with such BS. If you use this company, please make sure you are FULLY aware of your plan, payment details and pricing beforehand. I thought I was and it was not the case. Also, they CAN NOT give you notice that the service is on a specific day. You get a text from the company that the crew is on the way the day of but EACH TIME I got the text just minutes before they pulled into the driveway. Literally minutes!
