Reviews Summary

Overall, customer sentiment toward Monument Grills as a manufacturer is predominantly negative, with a minority of reviewers expressing satisfaction. Reviewers consistently highlight issues such as product defects on arrival, poor build quality, missing parts, and significant dissatisfaction with customer service and warranty support. While a few customers report positive interaction with staff or enjoy the grill’s functionality, most accounts focus on unresolved complaints and a lack of responsiveness from Monument Grills. Common feedback includes ongoing problems with stainless steel “pitting” and rust, cracked or damaged components, and grills failing within months of purchase. Customers frequently mention long wait times for customer service, denied warranty claims, and frustration with replacement processes. In rare cases, individual representatives or quick part replacements are appreciated, but these are exceptions. Recurring themes indicate broader operational or quality control challenges impacting buyers’ experiences. Based on reviewer feedback, Monument Grills currently faces a challenging reputation as a grill manufacturer, with trust harmed by persistent product and support issues. Customers in various regions advise caution, often directly comparing the brand unfavorably to established competitors. The majority of feedback points to inconsistent long-term reliability and difficulty obtaining effective after-sales support.

Do NOT BUY, DO NOT Waste your time! I was beyond excited to order the new Eminence 605, but am sadly disappointed now. The grill arrived in a fair amount of time in two big boxes that are pretty heavy. After getting these boxes to my rooftop on the fourth floor and getting over halfway through assembly, I got to the firebox and noticed some issues. First, there was a large scratch inside. Second, the ends of the firebox were cracked on both sides, and a missing nut attachment made it impossible to screw in the sear section completely. Additionally, a missing clip was required to attach the AC adapter, and some of the pieces were bent. For a $1400 grill, and almost $2000 with all the accessories I bought, I expect better, but things happen. Contacted Monument, and customer service was apologetic and agreed to send another firebox, no worries, no need to ship anything back, they're taking care of it. The new firebox arrived 10 days later, and guess what - it's cracked in the same spots as the first. At this point, I'm over it. Although it does not affect the grill's function, my concern is longevity and whether it will rust in those spots, potentially becoming a problem down the road. Contacted Monument again, this time stating that it has been 21 days since my order, and it's a considerable inconvenience. However, I can either return everything or just offer me a partial refund for the inconvenience, and I will take the risk of keeping the cracked grill. Their offer was $50 off, and they will send some paint to cover the crack, as it does not affect the functionality. This is not acceptable on a $1400 grill, so I requested a return, only to be told I must have the original boxes and pack it all back up as it was initially, which I no longer have, as I was told on the first issue, "not to worry" and disposed of the boxes. Additionally, assembling the grill took 6 hours; disassembling and repacking it to the original pack would be almost impossible. Return denied. Now I'm 21 days into this, stuck with a $1,400 cracked grill. I should have gone with what I know, which is Weber. This grill is cool, but I'm now concerned about its durability and how they will stand by their warranty for any issues. Make your decision wisely before you purchase. Inspect everything down to the last detail before you begin assembly. Otherwise, you'll end up where I am, hours of wasted time and a cracked grill.

I bought the Mesa 405BZ less than a year ago and the "stainless steel" exterior is very much stained. Contacted their customer service and they said to use Bar Keeper's Friend. After two applications the exterior has swirl marks that do not come out. They clearly use the lowest quality materials. To top it off, their support is terrible. The supervisor (Jose) is rude and condescending.

I received a pellet grill that was damaged. The lid was dented so it didn't close properly. After almost 2 months of phoning and emailing I was emailed and provided a link to a place where I could buy a new lid. I told them that I wasn't willing to buy a new lid and that they should supply it with no cost to me because it was damaged when I bought it. I then called them again and was told they couldn't get parts for my grill and that I should be able to return it to the store I bought it which is one hour away from my home. I didn't want to drive two hours there and back to return it plus have to assemble a new grill. I tried bending the lid back so it closed but it's still not a good enough seal for smoking anything. Hopefully I don't need any warranty work from them in the future! The grill should have been sold as-is with no warranty.
