This is some text inside of a div block.
They are not there to help you and they have 0 interest in doing so either. I paid my council fine was never updated I receive a call from Marston enforcement agent saying I have until tomorrow 6am to pay or we’re taking control of goods I received no letter from them and they say they sent 1 and went straight to enforcement for a £75 that’s already been paid and have had to pay 2 fines this company WILL NOT HELP YOU! I can’t wait to get my money back I wonder if they will recover my money from themselves as quickly as they took it……

Won a CCJ against a rogue trader who owed us several thousand pounds. Used their legal service to get the Warrant of Control and they handled everything from there. The communication was just ok (they only actually invoiced me for the legal fees after I chased them up about it). When I called up initially I was just told “everything is on the website” and the customer support didn’t seem willing to actually support the customer beyond pointing them to the website. From the looks of it the debtor paid as soon as they received the letter from Marston Holdings, so I can’t comment on any enforcement actions outside of sending the letter. I received notice that the debtor had paid up about 7 days after they actually did so, and they transferred the money fairly quickly after the 14 day holding period. To sum up, I used them to get back money owed and they delivered all of it to my bank account with relatively little fuss. Their communication could have been a bit better though, and I could see how this might be a bit more problematic on a more complex case. Would use again in future if I needed to (which hopefully I won’t!).

IF MARSTON ARE CONTACTING YOU, YOU SHOULD CONTACT YOUR LOCAL CITIZENS ADVICE SERVICE WITHIN THE SAME DAY. HELP YOURSELF BECAUSE MARTSON WILL NOT HELP YOU. IF YOU FEEL THEY HAVE ABUSED THEIR POWER, COERCED, OR FAILED TO RESPOND TO YOUR COMPLAINT YOU SHOULD FILE A COMPLAINT WITH ECB. THE MORE PEOPLE COME FORWARD THE LESS CHANCE THEY HAVE OF CARRYING ON. As many others have stated, these guys are the furthest thing from professionals. The fact they're allowed to continue operating is astonishing. Please contact the ombudsman if they cause you problems. If you owe their client money, you will not be able to contact them for a payment plan. The best you'll get is an option to download an app, on which there will be a pre set payment plan. This plan will not be affordable or sustainable. DO NOT AGREE TO IT IN HOPE OF THEN REDUCING YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT. If you agree you ultimately sign your goods away, and if you can't keep up with the ridiculous repayments they then have the right to enter your property with or without you being there. You won't be able to contact them to reduce the payments and will ultimately be served a notice, by hand, with a few days warning to say they're coming round. You'll be given the contact number of the bailiff on the hand delivered notice, the bailiff will be useless. They won't listen and will likely hang up on you. It is utterly appalling. The best advice I can give would be to contact your local citizens advice as soon as you can and have them contact Martsons client directly on your behalf. After my own dealings with them and their inability to act like, and treat us like, human beings, I formally complained to them. A month and half later, still no response and I have since reported them to the ombudsman. We also received a letter to our address for a person who does not live here and to our knowledge never has lived here. As usual the contact number starts with an automated service and I followed the prompts. They then sent me a link before I got to speak to a single person, for a form to fill out to claim the person does not live here. Before using the link I called again and deliberately used the prompts to get through to an opporator, who ultimately sent me the same link. Difficult considering I can't open another person's post and the first thing they ask for is a case reference number. Eventually I got the form filled out and uploaded a utility bill dated within the previous three months. So far I'm yet to receive any confirmation that they've received my claim, even though they say they will send confirmation and within five days it will be dealt with. I find this unlikely and am already anticipating that they will show up at our door regardless. Hence, another complaint to the ombudsman. They are not interested in helping you and they are not interested in repayments. They will get paid by their client (probably your local council) regardless of what the outcome is, so frankly they don't care. I expect it probably benefits them more to carry out enforcement visits otherwise they'd be more inclined to listen to us. I suspect that if everyone that's left a review here were to file a complaint with the ombudsman they would ultimately be closed down for improper practices. We don't all get into debt through carelessness or out of spite. YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND PEOPLE WILL HELP YOU. EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FACE IT IT'S BETTER TO CONTACT A DEBT CHARITY OR CITIZENS ADVICE THAN TO LET THESE FOUL LITTLE CREATURES INTO YOUR HOME. IT SAYS ENOUGH THAT THEY MAKE THEIR BUSINESS OFF OF OTHER PEOPLES MISFORTUNE.

Reviews Summary

Based on customer reviews, the overall sentiment toward Marston Holdings’ enforcement services is predominantly negative, with most reviewers expressing dissatisfaction related to customer support, communication, and perceived fairness in enforcement processes. Reviewers consistently note difficulty in reaching human representatives, a lack of willingness from staff to address unique situations, and the use of automated or web-based systems in place of personal support. While one review acknowledges successful recovery of debt with minimal issues, other feedback highlights strong frustration and even distress over the company’s approach.

Key themes across the feedback include poor customer service, rigid or unaffordable repayment plans, pressure tactics, and a largely unresponsive complaint process. Customers mention feeling unsupported, with several claiming the company does not listen or help resolve discrepancies, and others referencing issues with incorrect or misdirected enforcement. Suggestions for seeking help from citizens advice or local councils are common, indicating customers felt compelled to look for assistance outside Marston’s own channels.

Overall, Marston Holdings is regarded as a contentious firm within the UK debt enforcement industry, with reviews suggesting consistent criticism regarding communication, approach to vulnerable clients, and procedures. While isolated reports show successful transaction handling for creditors, the predominant public reputation reflected here is of a company that struggles to balance robust enforcement with customer engagement and support.
