Reviews Summary

Evaluating Manchester Massage from the array of customer reviews yields a complex picture of the establishment's reputation. The customer experience seems to fluctuate between satisfaction with specific therapists' skills and dissatisfaction with certain elements of service, notably reception interactions and internal management issues. Professional conduct appears to be a point of contention, with allegations of unprofessionalism from both the reception team and therapists undermining the business's credibility. A potential disconnect between the owner and managerial practices, as noted in the job applicant's detailed critique, poses a severe concern about managerial conduct and transparency. Complaints of therapists pressuring clients regarding treatment approaches, breaches of personal boundaries, and inappropriate conversations during sessions further mar the brand's reputation. Nonetheless, positive feedback also emerges, with praise for individual therapists' expertise and effective treatments, inferring that while the competence of the staff is recognized, overall service consistency is lacking. The recurrence of noise disturbances and lack of privacy demonstrates a need for improvement in the atmosphere provided during sessions.

This place has good discounts for a massage in the city. I had a massage with Jemima, despite booking with Katherina, which was frequently interrupted by construction within the building. The treatment itself was fair, and the therapists are decent, so the noise may be surmountable, though the service is not. This aspect left much to be desired, which may be evidenced within the business’ responses to customer reviews. My personal favourite, is one of my very own, in which management insists the massage had been with Katherina- I know who was touching me, cheers. Truly, worth an upgrade to better establishments.

Urgent Review- Exposing Unprofessional Conduct at Manchester Massage - Important ●I am writing this review because it's the only means I have to ensure that the owner becomes aware of the situation. Despite my efforts to communicate directly with him being obstructed, leaving this review is my only recourse to shed light on what transpired. Additionally, I have proof of everything that I wrote here. ●After applying for a job at Manchester Massage, encouraged by their advertised pay rate, I attended an interview last Monday. During the interview, the owner discussed the job details, pay rate, and contract options with me in the presence of Lisa, the receptionist/staff manager. ●On my first day, I worked alongside the owner and Maria, a therapist, who graciously shared their expertise with me. This opportunity was only made possible because the owner himself had to inquire about scheduling, as Lisa had neglected to do so, likely as part of her agenda to sabotage my first day already. ●After my first day on Friday, the owner even expressed his enthusiasm for my potential future at the spa, mentioning the possibility of creating space for laser therapy, considering my training in the field. However, I couldn't help but notice Lisa's displeasure at his positive feedback and future plans, evident from her facial expression. ●However, after the owner left and it was closing time at the shop, and every therapist left, Lisa initiated an informal conversation, changing our agreed terms and presenting entirely different conditions, including a lower pay rate and limited contract options, contradicting what had been agreed upon when the owner was present. ●NOTE that before changing every aspect of the agreement she printed my passport, which now raises serious concerns about privacy and data security. This confusion persisted as Lisa continued to block every attempts to communicate with the owner sending me messages. ●Despite requesting to speak with him or obtain his contact information through Nancy, the lady who scheduled my interview and also responds to all the reviews, both of them collaborated and deliberately chose not to even inform him of my request in order to prevent me from reaching him at all costs. ●In fact, Lisa explicitly stated that the owner's input is irrelevant, dismissing him as "just the owner" and insisting that she holds all decision-making power. This blatant disregard for my right to discuss issues directly with the owner is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management of the establishment. ●When I insisted on wanting to have a meeting with the owner, Lisa suggested a meeting with herself alone, deliberately choosing a time when she would be the only one present, which raised red flags. I declined and opted to discuss matters during my scheduled shift. ●She panicked at the idea that I might meet the owner and attempted to change the narrative, falsely claiming I lacked experience. ●It's evident that Lisa's actions are driven by jealousy and discrimination from her towards those she perceives as threats, to the point of shifting excuses and lies about my experience level and the owner's involvement in decision-making further highlight her lack of integrity rather than the best interests of the spa or its employees. ●I hope that the owner realizes what had happened behind his back and takes appropriate and serious action to address the issues within the establishment. ●I'm eager to see what lies her friend(The lady who responds to the reviews)that collaborated with her comes up with this time in her defence. ■EDIT: It's worth noting that I was the one who declined the job offer, and I urge you to stop projecting false narratives. I also opted not to accept payment for the entire shift, totaling nine hours, after witnessing the abuse of power and mistreatment. They can utilize the funds to cover the first session for a therapist instead. ●I won't waste time disputing your falsehoods on timing and who called who. Your fabricated stories and opinions are irrelevant.I stick to the facts. Goodby

Returning client, I had a two hour Swedish with Mailen today, my first time and she was brilliant. Knows exactly the right pressure at the right points and has a professional and warm vibe. Thanks Mailen and to Lisa for putting with just the right person!
