Super doors, very poor service! Here is a copy of a good review for JT Atkinsons of Leyburn, but a poor review for LPD. Amazingly poor after sales service. My review is as a result of above and beyond work by Jamie Wilman of JT Atkinsons in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. We renovated a house using Paul Young, a super local builder. We bought LPD Doors throughout. They look stunning and everyone says how good they look. They come with a 10 year guarantee. Recently a latch mechanism on one door failed, almost unheard of, apparently. So, knowing how busy my builder is and thinking it was just a tiny issue, I called LPD for assistance. I talked to a helpful chap in sales and sent a video demonstrating the issue. I expected a swift ‘oh yes, we will pop a replacement in the post’ but NO! Phone calls, pass arounds, missed calls and no new latch. I tried to escalate the issue and had to start again with a different department. They wanted an invoice or order from the builder. So I talked to Paul and he sent me a document which I forwarded to LPD. Days went by and then they asked me for a suppliers document (from where Paul bought the doors from). I talked to Paul and he told me he got the doors from JT Atkinsons of Leyburn. I then called JTA and told the story to Jamie, got the document details from him, then went back to LPD. Again, nothing really happened. HOWEVER, Jamie at JT Atkinsons decided to go the extra mile. He took up the quest for a new latch. After a couple of days LPD asked him for photographic evidence, which they had already had. So Jamie JT Atkinsons came back to me and I sent back the video clip LPD had a couple of weeks earlier. At last they have agreed to replace the latch but what a polava. We spent a lot of money on doors and fittings but LPD really gave very disappointing service. (No service really). Jamie at Atkinsons Leyburn, on the other hand was superb. Without being asked he did the right thing. I now think even more of JT Atkinsons but very disillusioned with LPD. Thanks Jamie, I will collect the latch se soon as it’s in.
