Use to be good website. Adding the vat and postage fee sometimes it’s not worth at all , especially when damaged or items used for long time from previous customers Lately receiving to many damaged products that end up in the bin…despite I have spend thousands, I still keep receiving more junk, from bidding on expensive electrical items. Gutted!

I have used this company for years and have had relatively good service but I wanted to share this recent experience with you. This is an email I sent to them today including photos of the item. In the interest of fairness I also send their response: Hello I have just opened these 2 items the order 211222. The items were only 0.50p. My point is how ridiculously dangerous it is to put these items into the auctions in the first place. Both items were smashed to smithereens. It is dangerous to your staff, the delivery drivers and your customers. What on earth is jobalot thinking? I am now lumbered with the problem of disposing of these items safely protecting myself and the bin men left to dispose of them. I am furious. What an absolute lack of respect not only for your good name but for the people you have a commitment to, i.e your employees, contractors and customers. I would appreciate a reply explaining how these items ended up going through the auction and if you consider them fit for resale to your customers. Regards. This is their response which i believe to be unethical and lacks a duty of care to their employees the delivery team and also the customers. "Hello Thank you for getting in touch. I've looked into this and I can see that this falls into the condition description advertised on the listing: Items are untested and unsorted by Jobalots and may be damaged, coming directly from the source company. All products will need to be checked, and in some cases repaired to current safety standards before resale. No warranty/guarantee on any items. Products might have missing parts. Perishable products may have exceeded their expiry/use-by dates. Please note that size, colour, and style may vary. Please note that your total inventory of your order may vary by +/- 10%. Images are for illustrative purposes only. In this case, we cannot offer any compensation, however, we hope this information will help inform your future orders. All the best,"

Selling and send damaged and faulty items and then refuse to refund, but they packing the items. Don't buy their rubish, as it is the right word for the items!!!!

Reviews Summary

Reviews for Jobalots, a wholesale auction website, are predominantly negative, with customers frustrated by the condition of received goods and lack of effective customer support. Many note receiving damaged, faulty, or used items, with some explicitly stating that even expensive purchases often result in unusable products. While there is one mention of previous satisfaction with stock quality, recent feedback highlights growing dissatisfaction and concern over business practices, particularly regarding refunds and misleading product listings.

The most common themes in these reviews are the poor quality and inconsistency of auction items, dissatisfaction with website changes, and an apparent lack of customer service responsiveness. Customers frequently complain that displayed product photos do not match reality, that communication regarding refunds is unproductive, and that items are sometimes dangerous or unsellable. Some express discontent about the auction process itself, with technical barriers or policy changes limiting their participation.

Overall, Jobalots is viewed by customers as unreliable, with significant trust issues and anxiety around purchases. Despite being in the wholesaler auction business, the company has developed a negative reputation, especially in the UK market, owing to persistent complaints about damaged goods, refund disputes, and lack of transparency in both product listings and support.
