This is some text inside of a div block.
Absolute appalling customer service and what’s worse is the lack of response to sand in my water supply or even take any kind of ownership. All I’ve heard is lie after lie after lie. They obviously couldn’t give a hoot this is where the govt should regulate these water companies properly as they do as they please.

Jamie was a great help today! Had an issue with an increased water bill around April 2025 which I believed to be the OFWAT approved increases, it went from £34 to £61. Jamie explained the calculations clearly and that the increase was due to the future calculated water usage based on previous readings. An up-to-date reading provided an accurate average. I paid off the £41 debt and the bill was recalculated to be £27, less than my previous charge. Overall happy and relieved!

An absolute rubbish of a company. My water usage has not changed for a family of 3. Tell me why my bill increasef from £ 38 to £61. I am fuming right now. What an offer billing system. Inadequate to provide information regarding letter reading, extorting poor customer. If I had a choice to switch, I would. This company is not remindable at all. Terrible! Terrible services. I have moved out of these new built houses. This is ridiculous. Something must be dob

Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment for IWNL’s water supply and billing service is largely negative, with a minority of reviewers highlighting positive experiences. Reviewers consistently note issues such as unexpected bill increases, lack of choice in provider, and dissatisfaction with customer service responsiveness and billing systems. However, some customers report helpful support from individual staff members, clear communication on specific queries, and rare cases of prompt outage management. Technical issues with payment systems and complaints about accessibility further affect overall perceptions.

Several recurring themes build IWNL’s reputation among customers. Billing problems are frequent, including estimated readings and unclear account adjustments. Communication gaps are mentioned, especially during outages or account confusion. Conversely, individual staff—like Jamie, Lee, and Dave—occasionally receive direct praise for resolving issues and providing clear explanations. Outages and account transitions for new build properties emerge as common pain points, but a few customers note rapid responses or fair handling through message portals.

IWNL holds a mixed-to-negative reputation in the UK water service sector, particularly for new builds and areas like the CM3 postcode. Despite praise for certain staff, overall trust is undermined by recurring billing confusion, payment difficulties, and inconsistent communication. While a smaller number of customers have had issues resolved smoothly, the broader perception reflects frustrations with company processes and limited consumer choice.

Billing increases are frequently attributed to estimated usage, recalculated average consumption, or regulatory rate changes. Customers are encouraged to provide accurate meter readings and verify estimated bills to ensure charges reflect real usage wherever possible.

How responsive is IWNL during water supply outages?

Experiences vary: some reviewers report quick, informative follow-up calls and bottled water delivery, while others describe lengthy outages with little to no communication. Issue resolution seems to depend on the area and time reported.
