"Your call is important to us." Clearly not. Been trying to get in touch with HMRC and been on hold for over 40 mins. No sign of anyone taking my call anytime soon. What a joke

After being transferred through to this department by The main HMRC I found their department to be Absolutely useless, waited nearly 50 minutes & eventually got through, the person who I spoke with or need I say tried to speak with, when trying to explain my tax query to him i don’t think he understood he just didn’t seem to up to speed with anything tax related also I could barely understand a word he said eventually I had to give up & put the phone down

The website is impenetrable My mortgage won't go thru because I owe tax The website won't let me set up a payment plan and instructs me to call. I have tried calling 11 times already but the wait either goes on so long that I have to go back to work or instructs me that the wait is too long and cuts me off. What is going on? This is the worst it's even been and it was never good. Why do we even bother The the country is in a shambles and no amount of tax males it better Surely you can use some of the tax money to hire people to answer phones? This is beyond a joke and will probably cost me my mortgage application and leave my family homeless Absolute disgrace You should be ashamed
