Disappointed – Ongoing Pain, No Support, Wouldn’t Recommend
We purchased the Harrison Spinks Burghley 6750 mattress nearly two years ago, and it has caused problems from the very beginning. Within the first few nights, both my husband and I were experiencing back pain. I contacted Harrison Spinks directly on 31st July 2023, after just three nights of use.
They told us to go through the retailer, who arranged an inspection — but the person who came was not qualified to assess the mattress and simply said it “looked ok.” Harrison Spinks then refused to investigate further, stating:
> “As the issues you are advising relate to medical or comfort… our technicians are not medically trained.”
Because our issue was classed as a “comfort” problem, we were left without any support — despite raising concerns immediately and following all care instructions. We’ve now endured nearly two years of disrupted sleep and daily pain, and have finally had to replace the mattress.
Since we’ve had it, one or both of us has been permanently aching or struggling to sleep, and the pain continues throughout the day. This has never happened with any previous mattress we’ve owned.
We expected this mattress to last 6–8 years and chose Harrison Spinks for their reputation and values — but the reality has been extremely disappointing. There was no meaningful support, no comfort guarantee, and no route for return.
We do not recommend the Burghley 6750 mattress or Harrison Spinks as a company. The lack of concern and refusal to help has burned the bridge.
> If Harrison Spinks would like to offer a goodwill resolution, I’d be open to updating or removing this review. It’s a shame it came to this, but after nearly two years of discomfort and no support, I had to share our experience.
