a 'no customer service' company. this is my impression, assumption, and assessment, not a declaration of facts. the company appeared to be legit, but is seemingly inept. bought a modest house about 2 years ago. house was maybe 4 years old. had h2o concepts under counter filters installed in the kitchen and master bath. time came to replace them. soon realized that this entire business is likely just a receptionist, and maybe an installer. i don't want to make personal statements about employees, but this is not a business that seems capable of servicing their equipment or customers. i had the filter systems, i had their printout page identifying the systems, with maintenance instructions. however, through no lack of effort of my own, they could not help me. they could not verify that i had one of their systems, they could not verify the address it was installed, they asked me for the previous home owner's information (i dealt with realtors, idk the previous homeowners... who does?). ultimately the company concluded our interactions, totally unable to help me replace or service my filters through this phone call. they made no attempt to figure anything out, didn't ask for photos of the system. seemed reluctant to make an effort to make an easy +$200 filter sale. unhelpful receptionist finally let me talk to a 'tech' who seemed dismissive, said again they could not verify what system i had via their computer, and seemed eager to end the phone call asap. i basically said politely, "look, i want to buy filters, but i'm gonna have to go to a local plumber and replace the whole system if you can't help me..." the response was a brief "ok" and a hang-up. (...i think they wanted that outcome.) i tried to help them sell me the filters, i even had the model numbers, but they couldn't make it happen on their end. ------ my expert opinion: a company who invested hard in promotion, presentation, and marketing, but is a skeleton crew of home-staff operating in their preferred limited capacity of making installs for labor profit, and then ignoring filter sales, staffing, shipping, and support. the customer service gave me the effort of a dmv employee. my GF had called them a while ago, and gotten the same runaround, told me they were incompetent.... i thought there must have been some mistake. but no... i'm easy to deal with, tech literate, reasonable, prepared to give them a credit card and have them ship a filter set asap. seemed like they didn't even know the shipping costs offhand, indicating that it's probably just one installer with a truck, one receptionist, and none of their business seems to have any moving parts, departments, staff, or support. basically seemed like a company that specializes in install, but is absolutely not prepared, eager, or willing to follow through after the fact. business model seems to be install labor profit based, and that's it. they seemed satisfied with just saying they can't verify which system i have because it's not in their database, and ending the interaction. likely another 'work truck and cell phone' business that's invested in appearance, but ends up being a dead end. i seldom write reviews, but this wasn't a normal business interaction. seemed to inconvenience them by begging to be sold something... their presentation definitely attempts to paint a different picture...
