Feels like a scam, I'd steer clear. Their 'assessor' visit actually turned out to be a salesman with no technical knowledge who didn't so much as even measure anything. Spent over an hour going through a sales pitch deck but to try and sell me on everything. When I said I was gathering quotes from multiple providers before deciding he informed me this special price was only available while he was present at my property. He'd previously said the discount was for logistics savings of being flexible on installation date so that didn't line up. Tried very hard to push the battery "AI-Powered" capabilities which is undoubtedly marketing buzzword nonsense. Based on the estimate I was given they're hugely overcharging for their installation, I've received several quotes since then for higher capacity installations with better gear for less than 60% of the price Evergen quoted me for a tiny 8 panel system with an inverter capacity below what would meet my needs on a summer day. Sales guy kept trying to upgrade my installation for free when I kept saying no. If you can afford to build that leeway into your sales tactics then you're ripping off others who don't resist just charge an honest price from the outset. This is exactly the kind of company I wouldn't want to be locked into a contract with (there was also seemingly no option to pay other than through their 10-year finance plan which has a significant interest rate)

I had to pull out the day before installation. I have paid a large deposit and have not received a response when I asked for a refund. They changed the installation date, the location of the panels, then, despite cancelling the day before, when the engineers turned up they said the inverter etc could not go where they had said and the electrical cable couldn’t fit through a conduit that was already in use. All of this without ever telling me any of it. Now I’m getting the silent treatment. DONT DO IT!!

Outdated, high-pressure sales tactics. I explained that my disabled wife might choose not to be involved, yet the booking ‘specialist’ wanted to know what was wrong with her in order to decide if the survey could still go ahead. Completely inappropriate — that’s none of your business. Come and do the survey, leave the quote, and let us work through it in our own time. If you need dual signatures before proceeding with the deal, fair enough. But you absolutely don’t need both parties present just to carry out a survey. There’s only one reason a company insists on that – they’re trying to close the sale on the spot. Huge red flag. I don’t buy that way – and I work in sales.

Reviews Summary

Overall, the customer sentiment towards Evergen's solar energy installation services is mixed, with significant negative experiences related to sales pressure, contract changes, and lack of transparency. Several reviews describe aggressive or unprofessional sales tactics, unclear pricing, and dissatisfaction with after-sales communication. However, a few customers highlight professional installation, effective support, and positive technical outcomes.

The most frequently mentioned concerns are high-pressure sales tactics, changes to technical specifications or contract terms after initial agreement, and poor communication during or after the sales process. Some reviewers note last-minute installation cancellations or complications, and issues with the refund process. On the positive side, a minority of customers praise the technical quality of installations and effective remote issue resolution, noting satisfaction with the ongoing system performance and aftercare.

In summary, Evergen is seen as a company with polarized results in solar energy services, with some customers valuing its technical expertise and others deterred by their sales approach and administrative handling. The pattern of aggressive sales alongside instances of successful installations shapes a reputation that requires careful consideration by potential customers.
