I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a recent waxing session at 71 Broadway branch in NY done by Melinda, which resulted in a painful injury to my face. During my appointment, I specifically informed the wax specialist (Melinda) that I have sensitivity in the cheekbone area and requested that she allow the wax to cool before application. Unfortunately, my request was disregarded, and the service was rushed—completed in under 10 minutes. As a result, my skin was severely burned, leaving visible irritation and significant discomfort. It feels as though a layer of skin has been removed, and I am still experiencing pain. This is not the first time I have had a negative experience at this location, but this incident was by far the most damaging. I have been receiving full-face waxing services since 2013 at various locations and have never experienced this level of carelessness. Despite trying multiple specialists at this location, the service has been consistently below standard. On a previous visit, I was also subjected to inappropriate and personal questions during a session, which made me uncomfortable and was highly unprofessional. I would like to acknowledge that the front desk staff have always been courteous and helpful, which I truly appreciate. Given the circumstances, I am requesting a refund for the remaining balance on my wax pass, as I no longer feel comfortable or safe receiving services at this location. I trust that you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and provide a prompt resolution. Please confirm receipt of this message and advise on the next steps for processing the refund.
