This is a scam!!!! In my original conversation all I wanted was a loan, I received a flyer in the mail for debt consolidation. They talked me into this program where I pay them up front and they take care of the credit card companies. They told me to stop paying my cards. They said it takes about a year. It’s been 3 years. My credit is screwed. And they have not taken care of anything. I could have just paid off my cards by now. I just got another charge from them. DO NOT GO THIS ROUTE!!! I’m contacting Better Business Bureau

I'm having a pretty miserable experience so far with this company and asked to be put in contact with a manager today. The rep I was speaking with over the phone was giving me information that completely contradicts the several other calls I've had with this team over the last year, so I really need to speak with an actual supervisor at this point. I frequently am told I'll get a call back, but it rarely actually happens. I am extremely upset and freaking out now after today's call, hence why I'm attempting a review at this point. Are you at all able to get me in contact with a manager that can help me to actually figure out what is going on with my account? And to fix whatever they've done? For reference, this is mainly regarding the largest, main account I enrolled into the program. When I enrolled the debt into the program, it was somewhere between $14k-$17k for this one debt. I currently owe just under $6k into the program. Fall 2024, Elite Legal called me with the "exciting news" that this one lender was unable to prove I have a debt with them and so the entire debt was being canceled out and I was going to have that totally removed from my credit/debt history. I was told it would take a while, though. I have called several times for updates ever since. Last month, I was told to expect an update by June 18th. When that, of course, didn't happen, I called today and asked again for an update. The rep I spoke with told me the entire account for that lender was removed from the program February 1, 2024. Considering that's well before Elite Legal called with that "exciting news", that obviously doesn't make any sense. My payment hasn't changed at all, but considering what I currently owe into the program and the size of that one debt, alone, I was expecting to be done with the program by now. So you can imagine my alarm at being told none of this was real? And I have no idea now what's actually going on with the main account I enrolled. I am really freaking out right now. Please help me if you can.
