By far the worst electricity company I have dealt with. They sent me a promotion for a $5 bill credit of I signed up for auto pay, so I signed up in December 2024. The promotional email said I would receive the credit within 1-2 billing cycles. After 2 billing cycles I contacted customer service wondering where my credit was. They informed me that it was 90 days, not 1-2 billing cycles. After 90 days, still no credit. Contacted customer services again. They're response was "90 days after the first bill." So I wait another month. Still no credit. Contact customer service again. They think I signed up in March and I'll have to wait 90 days. Fast forward to July, they're still telling me I have to wait 90 days, but can't tell me when the 90 days will end. How are you going to give me a credit then?!?! Customer service keeps making up lies and nobody will take responsibility for following through with my request. Imagine if there was more than $5 on the line! I will definitely be changing companies as soon as my contract is up!!!

While the name suggests a focus on affordability, and discounted rates, my reality has been quite the opposite, marked by unexpected charges, drastically increased rates, and what I perceive as misleading customer service. When transferring accounts back to my company from previous tenants, I was explicitly assured there would be no connection fees, as power was continuously on. Despite this clear communication, my first bill includes these unwarranted connection charges. This not only adds an unexpected financial burden but also demonstrates a lack of transparency and a failure to honor prior commitments. Furthermore, I was dismayed to discover that my accounts were "slammed" into a higher rate plan. As a multi-account customer, I would expect a utility provider to proactively assist in finding the most beneficial plan, not push me into one that significantly inflates my costs. The rates I'm now paying are nearly triple what I paid with my previous provider, which is an unsustainable increase for a small business managing multiple properties. This situation highlights a critical lack of customer-centric service. Instead of offering solutions or better options, it feels as though the company is actively working against its customers' best interests. The discrepancy between what was communicated and what was billed is a serious concern, leading to frustration and a sense of being taken advantage of. In summary, my experience with this Power retailer company has been characterized by: Misleading information regarding connection fees. Being placed on an unsuitably high rate plan, 3x. A significant and unexplained increase in electricity costs. Poor communication and a lack of proactive support for multi-account customers. I strongly urge the management to review their internal processes and customer service protocols. For any business or individual seeking a reliable and transparent energy provider, I would advise extreme caution and thorough investigation of all terms and conditions before committing your hard earned money to this company.

My power company, Pulse Power sold to Discount Power. I was told my account was purchased by another provider and they would be contacting me to set up an account. Come to find out, none of my account information, email, phone, auto pay, was transferred so, they cut off my power. Took an act of congress to find out who the new power company was and how to get ahold of them. I was charged a late fee, disconnect fee and my terms were not the same for EFL. Discount Power refused to work with me to get things back to the same EFL I had with Pulse Power and I terminated! Discount Power is the absolute worst provider ever!!
