We took the 6-week puppy classes with Kat and Josh. Harrison had already had some classes prior to these, but what we really liked was the puppy socialization. Not only did the puppies get matched well for play, we were taught to see what good play looked like and how to stop play that might not be heading in a good direction. I learned as much as my dog did!
After the puppy classes we continued to be involved with Buckeye Dog Training by attending the bi-weekly, open to the public pack walks and have continued with them for a year and a half, with all of the trainers in the Columbus Area, Kat, Josh and Brian. For a Dog that can be shy and lacking confidence out in the world, Harrison absolutely thrives at this group activity. I credit these events, and the care of the Buckeye Dog Trainers to us being able to do so much with our dog, that didn't seem like would ever be a possibility for us. We even had other trainers tell us that Harrison would never be able to walk on leash close to other dogs, without being reactive. Kat, Josh and Brian set everyone up for success on the pack walks and they have been a very positive experience for us.
Some times it takes more than one approach to working with your Dog, and we have a lot of support for working with our special boy, from many people. I'm so very glad we found Buckeye Dog Training and all the wonderful trainers there, with a special thank you to Brian for working with us recently on some in-home training around door and visitor manners. Buckeye Dog Training really stands by their commitment to helping you and your dog. Thank you all for being the best in the business!
