Sherry was AWESOME! Very easy to talk to and she walked me through the process/answered my questions, so that i completely understood. I believe Sherry is the best customer service rep I have ever encountered. I wish everyone could meet her high level of support. I have filed 2 separate claims with APHW, both were accepted, and I have saved over $1,000 on 2 appliance repairs.

Hadn't used my policy because I was worried about rates increasing, but Jackie Evans called and advised me that this wouldn't happen. She also informed me that I could retroactively submit a claim for an emergency roof repair job that I needed - so I did! Hoping that goes well. If it does, the 5/5 stars is well-deserved! Edit: My claim was denied due to the coverage being specifically for failed shingles or waterproofing. Would have been nice to know this up front and have avoided 5 calls just to be told my home is not actually covered in the event of an emergency.

Scam, I would avoid. Sump pump went out, water flooded into my home. Had a contractor out and called to start the claim. Original claim was denied because there was rain water in the pit of the sump pump 😆😆. Keep in mind, I was not requesting coverage for water damage just the pump. Called again, after service was completed and paid out of pocket because I got to thinking, wtf, that’s the pumps purpose. So, they decided they would revisit the claim. Attempted to call the contractor to get a detailed determination of the failure. Of course they won’t call back, they got their money. I don’t blame them. So, I emailed the paperwork with the details I received from the contractor. They said it wasn’t readable. So I said, the contractor never did determinate the issue, but suspected the unit was old. Claim denied as there has to be a cause of failure determined. Just kept finding ways to deny my claim. I’ve decided to drop them. Normally don’t leave reviews, but I want to help others to avoid this company.
