Reviews Summary

Evaluating the reputation of Uptain Yoga through recent customer feedback presents a mixed landscape. The studio has been criticized for its pricing, with some considering $165 a month to be steep, especially when compared to amenities offered by comprehensive fitness centers like Lifetime or Equinox. Negative comments also touched on issues with instructor engagement and an unforgiving late policy exacerbated by its downtown location, which can pose traffic challenges. Yet, on the positive front, numerous reviews praise the instructors' knowledge and teaching ability, with the studio's ambiance and helpful front desk staff also receiving commendation. These positive experiences seem to suggest a loyal customer base that values the specific offerings and atmosphere of a dedicated yoga studio.

Not worth the price. They charge a whopping $165 a month for yoga classes for a specific program and if you want to add more you get charged more. For the same price, you can go a high tier gym like lifetime or equinox which comes with a full gym, pool, sauna, numerous yoga classes with different teachers at all hours of the day and multiple floors. The yogi's aren't really good teachers, most them don't care if you do the poses correctly and just want you out before the class is over. On top of that, most of them are attractive so they are somewhat stuck up and look down on you if you are new, at least that's why my gf told me with her experience. The worst part is that the building looks like they took a small house and just turned it into a make shift yoga studio, very tacky. They also teach 1 class at a time and if you are 0.000033827 second late past the 5 minutes before the class starts. Too bad you missed the class, which is insane since they are located near downtown and the traffic is insane. Overall, I had a okay experience here but there's just so many red flags that had I known before hand I would have never spent the $165 x 2 a month. Go to any gym, most of them have it, hell LA fitness is $40/month and they are better than here.

I discovered Uptown Yoga through ClassPass and decided to start with Jennifer Usher's Deep Stretch class. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Jennifer's class was exactly what I needed – soothing yet invigorating. It left me wanting more, so I opted for a monthly membership without hesitation. Since then, I've explored various classes with different instructors, and each session has been a delightful experience. What impresses me most is the level of knowledge and expertise demonstrated by the instructors. Their cues are spot-on, guiding us through each posture with clarity and precision.Having undergone yoga teacher training myself, I appreciate their ability to not only teach physical techniques but also provide comprehensive instruction. Uptown Yoga has truly become my sanctuary. With a wide range of classes offered throughout the day, it's easy to find one that fits my schedule perfectly. If you're looking for a welcoming yoga studio with top-notch instructors, convenient scheduling, I highly recommend giving Uptown Yoga a try. Parking is a breeze, with a small lot behind the studio and ample street parking options nearby.

Went to Uptown Yoga for the first time today. What a great studio!! The instructors were so welcoming and made everything super simple to get set up. The Building is awesome, the exposed beams and brick really adds to the relaxing experience. I can't wait to come back.
