Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment toward Trade Centre Wales' used car dealership service is negative, with a majority of reviewers citing dissatisfaction over pricing, aftersales support, and product quality. Reviewers consistently note discrepancies between quoted and final prices, unexpected fees, and additional charges on vehicle collection. While a small number of customers report helpful and polite staff, many describe frustrating interactions, lack of transparency, and unresolved complaints regarding vehicle issues and policies.

Frequent themes in the reviews include concerns about aggressive sales tactics, questionable warranty or policy charges, and communication problems, especially after a sale is completed. Customers in South Wales, such as at the NEATH store, express difficulty in canceling unwanted services and frustration with the aftercare process. Product quality concerns are also prominent, with several reviews mentioning mechanical faults, missing accessories, or misleading advertising about features and pricing.

Overall, Trade Centre Wales is regarded as a business with significant reputation challenges in the South Wales region. Trust is undermined by repeated mentions of unreliable pricing, upselling tactics, and poor issue resolution. While isolated positive experiences with staff exist, persistent negative feedback about transparency and customer care shapes a predominantly critical reputation for this car dealership.

Agreed a total price on the day, rang back 2 days late to make sure the price was definitely a total price, came to collect 3 day later, 2hr round trip, just to be told there's a 399 admission fee after all the phone calls to made to make sure it was the total price. We had 3 small children with us and sent the driver home. They would not budge on the price and made out that we were lying about the total price given and could not listen to the recorded phone calls until Monday. We had to cancel it all now waiting for the deposit of 500 pounds to be given back which will take 3 to 5 days. Avoid at all cost

Salesman Ryan L was an absolute star. Got us in, explain everything, guide us through. Most pleasant and helpful person we meet while searching for a car. Thank you for this experience ! Jamie in finance department did good job, even tho salesman skill and badging skills are non existent (in a very positive way) and he's a great chap with knowledge. Josh and Laura from compliance ( Josh started Laura finished) are very informative and helpful making finished product shine. Both are great and big asset for this company. ( I've dealt with few but Laura make the day on top of that ladder)

I can’t even put a single star for them. The young sales person sat on the Warehouse area reception where cars are displayed was not at all friendly and very Rude with me. When I decided to look 3 cars, I informed the sales team ans they opened two cars for me. But I wanted to check the third and they said they don’t have the Key, and it’s with someone else. They said they will ask and made me wait there for a hour without responding anything. After a long wait I decided to ask the guy in the reception for the keys to open the car and he asked me “you are not gonna buy anything now” “I said if I like it I will”. He said he is not convinced and he can’t give the keys. And he acts like busy and told me he is busy he can’t help. I insisted on seeing the car, told him I just asked the keys to see inside He keeps refusing and then one sales guy jump in and arranged a spare key. The car was not Good, for the pricing and I don’t think anyone with Market knowledge will buy from there. There are many other cars with other reputable retailers in much cheaper price. After reading the reviews, now I know it was good choice not to buy anything from there.

Frequently Asked Questions About Trade Centre Wales

Are the prices at Trade Centre Wales final or are there additional charges?

Several reviews highlight issues with undisclosed fees and price changes upon collection. It is recommended to confirm all charges, including admission or administration fees, in writing before committing to a purchase to avoid unexpected costs.

What should I expect regarding vehicle condition and after-sales support?

Some customers experience post-sale vehicle issues, such as mechanical faults or missing accessories. Communication about repairs or warranty support has been inconsistent, so proactive follow-up and documentation are advisable.

How does the warranty or 'lifetime guarantee' policy work?

The 'lifetime guarantee' is offered at the point of sale, but reviews indicate challenges with cancellations and third-party garage acceptance. Clarify coverage details, cancellation policies, and garage eligibility before purchasing.
