I came back to the salon after being away from the UK for a while, hoping for the same high quality I used to get — but unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment. I had BIAB with a chrome finish done, and I’m really unhappy with the result. Each nail has a different thickness, the edges are rough and unfinished, and overall the nails look chunky and uneven. They feel thick and clumsy rather than elegant. Sadly, I’m very dissatisfied with the final outcome — it’s really not the quality I expected.

Townhouse needs to do better training on the SS25 look book options. My nail tech was very lovely, but I felt bad that she did not seem trained/practised in this look. Townhouse offers only 6 “seasonal” looks and considering the quite high price they should at least train the staff how to execute these well. She was generally very good, but the powder came out quite “dotty” and not very smooth/blended (and seemed to throw her off her game as well). Also the powder was way more hot pink in person than the picture in the look book, where the pink is much more subtle. Have added a picture of what I got for “Celestial Haze” from SS25.

My regular salon was fully booked and I needed manicure urgently. I did not have much expectations as in the west the manicure quality always had been low. But I was hopeful because the website was promising “high end”, “luxury” manicure. Starting from the basics: you can not make luxury and high end gel manicure in 40-50 mins, it requires time. As a business if you market it as luxury, please do your research, see how nails should look like when you consider it luxury, run workshops to train your employees. They offered me a redo, which I think is a nice part of customer service. However, I didn’t go for it as I see that there is a lack of understanding on how manicure should be done. I add the star for customer service and interior design of the place, the gel they use is not bad, it goes in a quite thin layer which I think it’s good. But the manicure itself is 1 star: almost absent cuticle care, all nails have different shape and lengths, the application of the gel is not neat.
