I have owned four cars over the years, and unfortunately, my experience with my most recent Peugeot from Toomey Motor Group has been extremely disappointing. I purchased the car with nearly 38,000 miles on the clock, and after two years, it has almost 60,000 miles. While I understand I am slightly over the expected mileage, my allowance was 8,000 miles per year, so I am only around 4,000 miles over. Much of this extra mileage was due to unavoidable personal circumstances, including my PTSD and caring for my granddaughter, who was born five months premature. What makes this situation worse is the financial side. I originally put down £4,000 as a deposit, and now I have been informed I am in £3,000 negative equity, which I cannot understand. In just two years, I have lost £7,000 in value on this car. On top of that, I have been told I still owe 8p per mile for the over-mileage, which seems unfair given the relatively small excess. Due to being off sick for five months, I can no longer afford the payments. I feel misled and taken advantage of, and I question whether my deposit was properly applied or if part of it went toward commission for the sales representative and Toomey Motor Group management. Overall, I feel this situation is unfair, not transparent, and leaves me seriously considering taking this further.

Where do i start. Brought a used 5008, 24 hours later the tyre pressure light came on and the oil filter light. Went back. They reset the light said everything was alright. Fast forward 2 weeks later, both lights come on and now the service light. Go back in, they do a few bits and return it. 1 week later the lights return, make an appointment to take the car in. On the weekend before it was due to go in driving home from a trip to Suffolk with 2 kids in the car, 37 miles left on the tank a mile from home and the accelerator stops giving the car any power. the engine is still on but no power to the pedal, had to put on hazards and pull over to the side of the road. When i get to the side of the road the car cuts out. i turn it back on and it stays on for 15 seconds before violently shuddering and turning off. rinse and repeat a few times and the car still says there is 18 miles left in the tank. Had to pay for recovery luckily i had my own (as dealership hadnt incepted the 'complimentary' breakdown cover). They arranged recovery of the car and gave us a 208 as a courtesy car until they were able to give us a e5008. Which they did. So cannot fault that part. We do not want the old car back as we had so many issues that wasn't resolved within the initial 30 days. So they are looking for a replacement. We tell them our budget and even extended it a little to make it easier for them to find one. I get a call one day from the dealership but I miss it, so I call them back and they say they have found me a car but its £15 a week more meaning we would be paying £400 for a used 5008 which the monthly increase was double to triple the increase we said we could afford. At this time of writing you can get an e5008 on a PCH for £350 a month!!! make that make sense. Have an argument and say i do not trust a word they say so they can only email me when they have found me a replacement that's suitable.... that was 2 weeks ago and we have heard nothing. So from my experience do not buy used from this dealer. From the reviews i can see others have had similar experiences with used 5008 from the Basildon branch. clearly selling duds there, wish i had gone for another 7 seater through a different dealer.... over 2 months post purchase, 2 payments down and we have only had the car we got in the agreement with for 20 days out of the 71 total

Looked after my Electric Kona well, let you wait in comfort whilst it’s serviced, they offer drinks and snack, and give a screen where your sitting, that shows the progress of your service. Excellent communications and great customer service and care. Highly recommended.
