If you take a single week break in Mounjaro for a holiday and then continue to take it for months as normal, they will still try force you to go down 4 doses lower due to the dates between ordering not matching up, despite having it clearly explained to them several times the reason for the difference in dates. Completely unreasonable, not clinically appropriate and against the advice of other medical professionals and another respected pharmacy who approved my order without an issue. Yes there are guidelines for safety (which I have read & understood being in the medical field myself), but this was ridiculous, nonsensical and complete overkill. Almost like a robot was prescribing rather than an intelligent person with a brain, critical thinking, reading comprehension and common sense. Thankfully found a pharmacy that knows how to deal with actual humans that occasionally go on holiday whilst taking medication. Also extremely slow at processing orders.

I sadly do not recommend The Family Chemist. I was ready to taper myself off of my medication, and reached out as trying to order a smaller dose was being bounced back. They kept requesting a new full consult, which I found really frustrating as things like height and medical history had of course not changed. The consults are lengthy and I felt like they could ask for an update on the factors that are relevant to prescribing. I made 11 requests to speak to a prescriber/pharmacist. I never did hear from one of their pharmacists or registered healthcare professionals. I did finally receive an email from Nikita, who spoke of my email tone? At 10pm on a work night I may not be all rainbows and butterfly's, but I hadn't been rude, or unkind, just quick and to the point. I went to an alternative pharmacist and ordered my medication in 6 minutes for £42 less than I had been paying at The Family Chemist. Others have mentioned in their reviews that the Family Chemist seem to have a small team, and struggle to keep up with enquiries, which I agree with. The ordering process up to this point had been easy, no issues. There was no support in starting the medication and navigating painful side effects. I feel that their professionalism/customer service disappeared as soon as I mentioned coming off of the medication and not requiring their services anymore. I would recommend a walk in/face to face chemist over an online provider. I just wanted to attach one of the many sarcastic emails they seem to keep sending. I've never known healthcare professionals respond to their patients like this. It's quite... childish?

I’ve ordered all my mounjaro from family chemist, I just want to point out, with the new legislation yes it’s more difficult & yes more checks are needing to be done & to those who are upset with the pharmacist, asking for more photos & videos to correctly make an assessment, he is only applying the law not making it. I also had to go through more rigorous checking but it also came with excellent advice about muscle mass & nutrition so I am very appreciative of the continuation of my treatment with this chemist & will remain with the family chemist until my weight loss journey is complete. Still 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars.
