Purchased a Vin X 4.6l SOC engine for a 2002 mustang everything appeared great quality initially, company was very detail oriented everything went well. Had the engine installed at a Ford dealership and the tech expressed concerns with the hot idle oil pressure being pretty low 9-11psi and the rear main seal was already leaking. Contact was made with Powertrain products. And they said to send pictures and they would approve repairs at $50 an hour to fix. Dealership ordered rear main seal and agreed to take on the job even though this rate is less than 25% door rate. I drove the vehicle over the weekend checking the oil every time I parked oil never got low, but when coming to a stop in gear the oil pressure light would come on and off. Brought it back to the dealer and found the oil pressure to be 3-4psi when in gear at operating temperature. Dealership contacted Powertrain products sending pictures of metal and plastic contaminated oil. Powertrain products agreed to send replacement engine and pay $50 for 20hrs labor for a total of $1000. Powertrain products customer service stated that I the customer will pay the bill and supply them an invoice and they would contact on organizing a reimbursement for the Labor they agreed to pay. All emails and phone calls are recorded (done through company phone and email). I have contacted the customer service email multiple times over the period of three weeks with a copy of the invoice and they have ghosted every email (failed to respond). Further more the replacement engine was very dirty full of plastic debris yet again and the hot running oil pressure in gear is 6-8psi yet again. I haven’t even been reimbursed for the first failed engine and now I may need another one. The technician contacted Powertrain products about contamination before ever installing the engine, and Powertrain products response was this is normal break in material proceed with installation. I would never recommend buying a product from this company again. I only purchased this engine because this company had good reviews and warranty and the engine is obsolete from ford, what a shame! One oil filter from the first replacement engine 200mi on engine. Second filter from second replacement engine started and allowed to come up to operating temperature then changed. Obvious build quality issues.

I wouldn't buy anything from them. I have a 5.0 coyote that literally has 35k on it and its had knocking issues from the start and now all the seals they installed are leaking. I sent them a video right after startup with the knock and their response was "we suggest continuing to run it,if something happens you are covered and this video is noted in the warranty." Now i discovered a timing chain tensioner that isn't even touching anything. They blocked me on Facebook because I left a negative review. They have multiple complaints about quality and warranty issues. They wont respond to emails or anything. There are multiple instances i have found saying they wont honor their warranty. I paid extra to get 5 year warranty and the engine was purchased late 2021.

They are very detailed and walk you thru every step with clear explanation. Super fast shipping, well packaged, and the engine is incredible. Absolutely grateful to have purchased from Powertrain Products!
