Kowin Yau rated Phantom Motor Company Limited 1 stars

I paid the deposit for my BMW on the 15th of March 2025 and was told I could collect the car on the 22nd of March.
However, I was only informed on the day before collection that the rear parking camera actually needed a replacement part that had to be ordered, which would take several more days.
This makes me wonder whether the car had been properly checked earlier, or only inspected at the very last minute. Either way, I waited patiently.
I finally collected the car today (26/03/2025), but now I’ve discovered that the air conditioning system isn’t working at all — it blows air, but not cold.
Throughout the buying process, your salesperson kept emphasizing that you’re the highest-rated dealership in the UK.
I was also told that you have a professional in-house service team who carries out over 100 checks on each vehicle before it is handed over.
If that’s the case, how was the issue with the rear parking camera not detected?
And even more concerning — how did the air conditioning problem go completely unnoticed until handover?
What kind of professional inspection team would miss both of these issues?
I’ve sent a message and tried calling, but haven’t had a reply so far. Other staff mentioned that the responsible colleague would get back to me — I’m still waiting.
I genuinely hope this matter is taken seriously and followed up properly. At the moment, it feels like things are being handled in a rather casual way, which is disappointing given your stated reputation.
If they have follow up I will update
Updates 1。My sales representative, Gary, has just replied and said that the issue will be followed up and someone will be in touch with me.
I’m currently waiting for someone to contact me.
Hopefully, there will be a proper follow-up.
The day I test drove the car, I already told Gary about the crackling sound and intermittent silence from the right side speaker. He said it would be fixed.
On the day I picked up the car, he kept saying the sound was fine and then asked me to sign the papers.
But now the crackling and intermittent silence is still there.
I believe they won’t fix it, and it’ll just waste a lot of my time.
Taking it to a garage to get it checked will end up costing me £250.
I paid £50 for the garage to top up the refrigerant.
The air con immediately turned cold, but if it leaks again in a few days, that means there’s a leak in the whole air conditioning system, which could cost over a thousand pounds to fix.
Right now, I still don’t know if they’ll take responsibility, and no one has contacted me.
They even claim to be the number one in the UK.
I can’t even imagine what a second time would be like.
25/3 check list is a joke
