Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment reflected in reviews of Nurx's telehealth and prescription service is predominantly negative. Customers repeatedly report issues with communication, billing errors, and difficulties canceling subscriptions. While a few users mention positive initial interactions or thorough consultations with specific providers, most express significant dissatisfaction tied to unresolved support tickets and recurring unwanted charges. Common feedback includes frustration over slow or absent responses, refusal to refund for company mistakes, and automatic charges even after users request cancellations. Many reviewers also cite a lack of transparency regarding insurance acceptance and problems transferring prescriptions to local pharmacies. These patterns suggest operational and customer service shortcomings across multiple aspects of the Nurx experience.

Key themes across customer feedback include inconsistent communication from support staff, poor responsiveness, and perceived predatory billing practices. Several reviews mention long hold times, unreturned messages, and unclear billing justifications, with some noting they contacted financial institutions to stop unwanted charges. Some customers cite challenges getting necessary medication delivered or switching pharmacies, raising questions about reliability and continuity of care, especially for those on time-sensitive prescriptions.

Overall, Nurx’s reputation among reviewers appears poor, with most users reporting ongoing challenges and limited recourse when issues arise. While the telehealth model offers potential convenience, actual user experiences indicate significant gaps in customer care and operational follow-through. Nurx is viewed as unreliable and difficult to disengage from, undermining trust in its service for customers seeking accessible, consistent pharmacy solutions.

I ordered a retinol product from Nurx and the communication was through messaging in my account. They prescribed me the wrong dose and when I noticed they were processing it I immediately messaged them to let them know the mistake. Three days later I got a response that it shipped and they would not take it back or refund me and that they also shipped the correct dose. Therefore, I was charged twice for their mistake and have a full tube of the wrong one. Then less than a week later another one charged and sent and this time no response from any communication. I now have 3 tubes, two of the right dose and one wrong dose, all in one month, and charged for all 3 with no refund or ability to send it back. I will not be able to use the ones I have before they expire. There are other companies, do NOT trust Nurx

This sham of a company is operating illegally. It’s refused to let me cancel my account and have continued to fraudulently charge me for ongoing services, despite assuring me four separate times that they successfully deactivated my subscription. Waiting for a PCP sucks, but don’t go anywhere near this predatory company; they’ll never let you leave.

Their contemptuous neglect of continuity of care is criminal. I have repeatedly lapsed on medication requiring continuous treatment, for no particular reason. Further, I requested a transfer of my prescription from their mail-delivery pharmacy, to my local in-network pharmacy, to avoid the delays and lapses in sending my refill. As a result, they cancelled my prescription "due to billing issues" (no claims were filed with my insurance, which hasn't changed). They did however keep the $69 that they charged me this month for an assessment I never received. And to Susan Edwards PA-C, NPI:1356453120 - shame on you for taking money for nothing, you wrote a prescription for 11 refills, removed Caremarks ability to actually fulfill those refills, and then disappeared (more than once) after upping a dosage on a medication that has real life effects on real people when they stop it suddenly and without guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Nurx

How responsive is Nurx customer support when issues arise?

Several reviewers report very slow response times, with waits of up to several days for message replies. There are also complaints of being left on hold for hours when calling, and instances of unreturned communication regarding urgent medication and billing problems.

Does Nurx accept all types of insurance for prescriptions?

Nurx does not accept all insurance plans. Multiple reviews describe being charged for consultations before knowing their insurance was not accepted. The process does not always allow users to check insurance compatibility before completing a paid medical consultation.

Can I easily cancel my subscription or account with Nurx?

Many users report significant difficulty canceling their accounts or subscriptions. Even after multiple requests, charges may continue, and the option to remove a payment method is sometimes not available through the platform.
