Reviews Summary

Customer sentiment toward Maze Living’s outdoor furniture and after-sales service is overwhelmingly negative. Reviewers consistently report repeated issues with product durability, such as cushions tearing, cracking wood, and misaligned units, often after minimal use or within a few months of purchase. Many express deep frustration with unresponsive or evasive customer service, noting unanswered emails, delayed replies, and difficulties obtaining repairs, replacements, or refunds.

Recurring themes include significant delays in communication and delivery, unresolved defects, and a perceived lack of accountability from Maze Living. Customers—some repeat buyers and business clients—describe being left without full orders, facing last-minute cancellations, and receiving partial or patchwork solutions instead of comprehensive fixes. Even when customer service staff are eventually reached, resolutions are described as slow, incomplete, or dependent on persistent follow-up.

Maze Living’s reputation, based on this selection of reviews, is poor within the UK outdoor furniture market. Customers report high levels of inconvenience and dissatisfaction due to inconsistent product quality and unreliable service processes. For buyers in the UK, Maze Living is regarded as a high-risk choice for outdoor furniture, with serious concerns about their post-sale support and order fulfillment.

(Order #000059126 / Invoice #000040422) I expected better from a company that positions itself as a premium outdoor furniture brand. After spending over £3,700, I’m left not only with a deteriorating product, but also with a deeply frustrating and unprofessional customer service experience. Within a short time, one of the cushions tore despite minimal use, and the winter cover began falling apart, clearly not fit for purpose. But the real disappointment began when I tried to get help. After multiple emails and a phone call — during which I agreed to pay £35 for a replacement cushion — Maze Living promised to send a link for payment. It never came. My follow-up emails have been completely ignored. This isn’t just about a faulty cushion or a torn cover. It’s about a company that refuses to take responsibility, ignores its customers, and abandons them the moment a sale is complete. If Maze Living truly valued its customers, a simple replacement would have been issued without hesitation. That’s what good companies do — they stand behind their products and respect their customers’ time and trust. Instead, I’ve been met with silence, excuses, and a total lack of accountability. For a company boasting about quality and service, this experience is nothing short of disgraceful. I strongly urge others to think twice before buying from Maze Living. The moment something goes wrong, you’ll find yourself chasing shadows — and your investment, like their promises, will quickly fall apart. I will be sharing my bitter experience on other social media platforms combined with photographic evidence.

Very poor product quality and terrible customer service. We spent over £5,000 with this company and the wooden furniture is cracking and peeling after only a couple of months! Customer service stall and are terrible at replying! Avoid this company! We are completely stuck with rotting furniture! We purchased outdoor furniture in September ensuring everything was stored indoors and well cared for over the winter. We are a Glamping site based 15mins from the show room and were pleased we could purchase from a local company. As a Glamping site we have adequate indoor storage for furniture during the offseason — yet several pieces developed faults - the varnish finish is peeling off and the wood is cracking. We raised the issue in April, providing clear photo and video evidence that all items, including cushions and frames, were stored inside. It has taken Maze Living months to respond with a solution, and when they finally have, they offered a partial resolution, claiming the damage was due to weather exposure — despite the fact that we had proven otherwise. Even if we had kept furniture outside (which we didn't) it should be lasting longer than 6 months. Clearly they have no faith in their own product quality! Wood that is deteriorating this quickly can't be either seasoned or treated correctly. After some research and speaking to some of Maze Livings stockists I am told the furniture is made in China and is clearly poor quality whether this is true or not I'm unsure of but this is what one stockist told me when I asked for advice. This experience has been frustrating and time-consuming. The customer service agent takes over a week to reply each time, often with stalling responses and late in the evening and past midnight leading me to assume this is an outsourced overseas team or they are overworked and having to work late in the night. We would absolutely not recommend this company based on their poor after-sales service and refusal to take full responsibility for defective goods. A total waste of our savings on this poor quality furniture.

BUYER BEWARE- Furniture not fit for purpose, customer service poor I purchased a £2k aluminium corner set (order #000106236) in October 2023 & recieved the order in November 2023. Everything came in time and seemed to be okay. Fast forward to April this year I noticed a severe fault with the main support on the rear of the frame, at first I thought the only the paint had come away but upon further inspection it has sheared away. I can only describe it like a bulge in the metal. See attached pictures. 09.04.25- I contacted Maze customer service and after a few days Billy responded to apologise for the problem and told me a replacement would be with me in 10-16 weeks. 05.05.25- I asked if they would be replacing the whole set of furniture or only the failed area. 09.05.25- Billy responed to confrim that only the effected areas will be getting replaced. 12.05.25- I asked Billy if he could tell from the images which areas need replacing (as you can see they are close up images and not illustrating where the fault was occuring so I had my doubts) I also saw that an two more areas a similar fault of bulging metal can be found. Not as severe as the metal hasnt sheared. But, it looks like a similar fault which I can only assume will get worse over time. 17.05.25- after chasing up multiple times, Billy responded asking for more images of the new faulty areas. And reassured me the factory knew which area the main problem was occuring. 18.05.25- I sent more images of the other faulty areas. 21.06.25- I get an email asking if I have used anything on the frame to clean it? 21.06.25- I respond to the email by saying I use clean warm water and a clean cloth to clean the furniture. 26.06.25- They tell me that they need to know exactly which areas are affected and once they have this information they will send it to the factory and look into it further?! . I THOUGHT THEY ALREADY KNEW THIS 02.07.25- I sent detailed videos of the faults TODAY- 07.07.25- After trying to call their office (on hold for 20 mins) and not being able to get through I have yet to hear back from anyone. 3 months on I'm still non the wiser and feel like I am going round in circles. If I do not hear back from Maze living in three days I will be forced to contact my bank and trading standards. Max Shaw
