Nissan (Macklin Motors) dealership offers a great selection of vehicles, and the salesperson used to be very responsive to service calls. We purchased our Qashqai (2019) in October 2022, along with an extended 3-year warranty, which provided peace of mind for first-time buyers like us. This vehicle has been excellent for our family, but last month, we started experiencing engine issues. When we sent our car for service repair, the service department informed us that the vehicle was no longer covered by the purchased warranty because we did not follow the service schedule, of which we were unaware. We never received any mail or phone call about upcoming service, even when we visited the dealership in March for a tyre pressure sensor replacement, which is covered under warranty. The engine issue occurred the day after the sensor replacement. They are now suggesting an engine replacement, which would cost £6,000 out of our pocket. This is a total surprise and unacceptable. As much as our family loved the ride quality of the vehicle, we are very frustrated with their warranty service and questioning the quality of their engine components. We would like to share our experience with all potential buyers while still hoping Nissan (from Macklin Motors) will honor their quality and warranty commitments.
