The Turkish coffee set I’ve bought is beautiful and the quality is great, so cannot complain in that regard HOWEVER the customer service in the Islington branch was abismal. Only one member of staff on a Bank Holiday weekend. Not good operations. 4 massive crates of stock just out on the shop floor, they should’ve been emptied from the night before. Advertised in store was a set of 6 Turkish tea glasses for £6.99. When I asked for that set, the man behind the counter was searching through the crates for over 15 minutes, and when he “found” the set I asked for, it was a completely different design for double the price. When I asked for him to get the set that I had asked for, I was met with the response of “that sale price is incorrect and I can’t find that set”. Your staff need customer service training and the operations manager needs to have a look into organising crates of stock to not be on the shop floor. The shop was in a disarray. Sorry to say but the Islington branch is not the one, they’ve lost a customer from me. I will, however, give one final chance to the Tottenham branch in hopes of better customer service and a more organised shop floor. Great shame really as the Islington branch is local to me. Sort it out Karaca Islington.

I strongly advise against shopping with Karaca. My experience with their customer service has been unacceptable. Over a month of emails and repeated follow-ups, and my issue is still unresolved. I ordered a £300 dinner set, and one of the serving plates arrived broken. I reported it immediately using their form, and they initially offered a replacement. However, despite confirming the size and details, they sent the wrong plate. Since then, I’ve sent multiple emails with no response. I even filled out another broken item form and explained everything again. After further chasing, they finally replied, only to tell me the plate was unavailable and offered a mere £10 refund. I requested a bowl as an alternative, but they’ve ignored me since. The lack of communication and poor handling of the situation is incredibly frustrating. Their website claims replacement items are available for their sets, but this clearly isn’t true. While their concept is appealing, their execution and customer service are severely lacking. I won’t be shopping with them again and recommend others steer clear as well.

They sent only part of my order! When I emailed them, I received no response. I called customer service, and they just said, "We'll get back to you" — but I never got a proper explanation. After a few days, they simply cancelled the missing item without my consent or any apology. Even worse, when I called again, they claimed the item was out of stock. If that’s the case, why don’t they update their website properly? This is misleading and unprofessional. We’re not stupid — you took my money and didn’t deliver what I paid for. I had to chase *them* for answers instead of them contacting me. Very disappointed and will never order from here again.

Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment toward Karaca’s homewares stores is largely negative, as reviewers repeatedly report unresolved service issues, slow responses, operational disorganization, and poor follow-up. Customers cite frustrating experiences both in-store and online, including missing items, late deliveries, ineffective escalation, and lack of accountability. Notably, only a minority mention positive aspects, such as the attentiveness of specific staff or the brand’s product range, while the majority express dissatisfaction with operations, communication, and issue resolution.

The most common themes among the reviews center on ineffective customer service, poor organization—especially at the Islington branch—and logistical failures. Customers mention missing or delayed orders, unanswered emails and calls, cancelled items without explanation or refund, and unclear or misleading pricing and website information. While a few reviewers briefly mention friendly or helpful staff in Tottenham and appreciation for Turkish product offerings, these positives do not outweigh the pattern of operational and service-related frustration across both London locations and online channels.

In conclusion, Karaca’s reputation in the London area is presently mixed to poor. While the brand does have loyal customers who value its product range and individual staff members, ongoing issues with fulfillment, delayed responses, ineffective customer support, and perceived dishonesty have negatively impacted trust and retained business. Prospective customers should be aware of these common concerns before choosing Karaca for homeware purchases.
