I have never dealt with a company so incompetent in my life. The deal of the car went straight forward even managing to get the first choice car in my budget which I wasn’t hopeful for. How ever everything after this has been painfully frustrating. They confirmed delivery of my car which was around a week after the deal, so I arranged for my current car to be collected from the buyer the same day. However on the day I was told my delivery slot had not been booked and was going to be another week. This was 2 hours before I had to leave for work with no vehicle. I managed to hire a car at a cost of £245 plus taxis to and from the hire company. hippo said they would refund my delivery fee but I was still hugely out of pocket. On the day of my car arriving when the car drove past my window I could see with the added help of a sunny day the absolute state of the paint work. I had paid £400 for their F1 machine polish and ceramic coating and I could see from 15 meters away it looked like it had been done with wire wool. After getting closer to the car I then noticed the amount of scratches on the car, nearly every panel had significant scratches and scuffs on it. I felt sick after looking forward to my new car for two weeks to getting this. Bearing in mind it is a £35,000 car, I’d of been disappointed had it been quarter of the price. I contacted Jordan immediately and I then received a call from Paul the manager to apologise and say they would pick the car up at a date suitable for me to take back and correct everything. Today is that day and I’ve just had a call to say they aren’t coming and it will be another week. I feel there is no other option other than to hand the car back or ask for a significant refund.

Terrible company from the start. Not going to waste too much time but I’ll just say go to trust pilot and see the legitimate, negative one star reviews that have a pattern that no one should ignore. 5 weeks in and a near £300 new battery replacement and recently undisclosed damage. My only fault is I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews to which I would have run a marathon, never mind a mile. See a just a few photos/examples of the condition the car was received in, the smaller detail which there are no photos of are harder to show, but I’ve never seen so much minor damage on a 2.5 year old car. Be warned and go elsewhere. Also don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews on Trustpilot, go and compare them with the Hippo Group reviews and you’ll see the true score. As for messages of wanting any resolution, it’s all a facade. All they is to sweet talk you, take your money and run.

My experience with Hippo Leasing started off positively—they were friendly and helpful at the beginning. However, things quickly went downhill. My monthly payments were changed without any consultation or explanation, which is unacceptable. On top of that, my car was delivered late, causing further inconvenience. What’s most frustrating is the lack of responsiveness. I’ve tried reaching out multiple times to get clarity and support, but communication has been poor at best. I expected a more professional and transparent service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Hippo Leasing based on my experience.
