Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment in customer reviews for GoodRx, a prescription discount and telehealth service, is negative to mixed, with notable dissatisfaction surrounding pricing accuracy, customer service, and support processes. While a few reviewers highlight significant prescription savings and express gratitude for the discounts, many others describe misleading pricing information, unexpected charges, and frustrating customer care experiences. Instances of unresolved issues, redundant support interactions, and difficulties bridging communication between departments are prominent criticisms.

Reviewers consistently mention discrepancies between advertised prices and actual costs at the pharmacy, often leading to unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Several users cite issues with GoodRx Care’s telehealth service, such as being encouraged toward more expensive medications, lack of timely or appropriate responses, and fragmented support that requires customers to coordinate between internal teams. While some positive remarks express appreciation for savings and help from pharmacists, criticism of incentives and the handling of incentives like mail-in rebates recurs.

Overall, GoodRx's reputation appears to be hindered by recurring complaints about unreliable price transparency and inefficient support, despite occasional praise for the platform's potential to lower prescription costs. In the US market, especially in pharmacy and telehealth contexts, user trust is undercut by perceptions of inconsistent value and communication gaps, overshadowing the positive impacts experienced by some customers.

Great discounts on most drugs. The issue that most concerns me is inability to post accurate pricing on the Gold Club level search. So far I've had 5 prescriptions that cost 5% - 10% more than the posted price. Slight discrepancy's in pricing add up to increased profitability. Seems like a slight of hand. Customer Service says the pricing changes a lot on any given day and you can lock in pricing on the app. (Only for the very few that qualify.) Thanks for the follow up. Please do not app wash me with a redundant reply. I reported the issues with no resolution as I described above.

My first experience with GoodRX was abominable. I had accidentally submerged my lurasidone 20mg so my doctor called in the prescription again to Tom Thumb Pharmacy. My insurance would not fill it because it had not been 30 days. So the doctor said to use GoodRX and it would be $20. I signed up. Online, it showed my cost would be $16.51 for 30 days worth. But when I got to Tom Thumb with a printout of the GoodRX code numbers for THEIR PHARMACY they looked it up and said GoodRX is charging over $300. This is an antipsychotic that I really need. Now I have to wait 9 more days to get it filled. I can't afford $300+. The whole system is broken. Why is it showing a low, low price to me, and another (much higher) price to the pharmacist?

Bait and switch! Lie about prices and will do everything to prevent you from getting your discount. Customer service gaslit me and was a master class in how not to handle customer issues. Account deleted!
