Everyman Barbers's customer reviews analysis

The overall reputation of Everyman Barbers, as inferred from the recent reviews, appears somewhat mixed. While there are a number of testimonials that praise the quality of the haircuts, the professionalism of the staff, and the value of a good customer experience, there are also critical comments which, though fewer, are significant. The positive remarks often emphasize the barber's skill, particularly commending barbers like Emma and Marius for their expertise and customer approach. On the other hand, a negative account stands out detailing a displeasing encounter with a barber named Harry, which included a perceived lack of communication and barbering skills, as well as an overall unwelcome atmosphere. Customers appreciate the added amenities such as free beverages and the stylish setup of the barbershop. The price point, while mentioned as high by some, seems to be justified by the quality of service to a loyal customer base. However, issues around inconsistent pricing and a particularly negative experience with poor hygiene and technique damage the otherwise favorable view of the company.

Positive Feedback

Analyzing the positive feedback from Everyman Barbers' clientele highlights a strong appreciation for the barbers' expertise and the customer service provided. Customers speak highly of individual barbers like Emma, complimenting her skills and recommending her services. Many patrons are satisfied with the outcome of their haircuts, and some have become repeat customers because of the consistency and quality they experience. The barbers are described as professional, and the barbershop is perceived as a comfortable and welcoming environment. Added conveniences such as the ability to book in advance, the provision of discounts for certain clientele, and amenities like free beverages contribute to a superior customer experience. The feedback also underscores the barbershop's atmosphere and setup as contributing factors to overall customer satisfaction.

Concerns and Threads

On the flip side, scrutinizing the negative aspects within customer reviews reveals particular areas of concern for Everyman Barbers. A strikingly poor experience with a barber named Harry has been detailed, wherein the customer encountered what they perceived as grumpiness, a lack of communication, and subpar barbering skills. Additionally, there is inconsistency in pricing, which has caused confusion and frustration for at least one customer. Another review pointed out a substandard and overpriced haircut, with specific complaints about the lack of blend and physical discomfort following a shave. Issues such as the smell of cigarettes on a barber's hands also raise hygiene concerns. These incidents, albeit fewer in number compared to positive reviews, suggest that while the barbershop enjoys patronage for its service quality and atmosphere, experiences can vary significantly which could potentially undermine the company's reputation if not addressed.

First and last time here. Had a haircut from Harry. - I had to ask him to wash my hair. I was then reluctantly marched over to the sink. Asked for water to warmed 3 times as it was cold. Before there was even a lather, hair was rinsed I was up and marched back to chair. There was water still dripping down my face. He gave me a paper towel to wipe my face. LOL. I’m laughing now because thinking back, it was actually like a comedy skit. - This guy was the grumpiest person I’ve ever met. He said about 10 words the whole time I was there. No consultation or advice despite me asking. This dude just wanted to go home and made no secret about it. His face was permanently stuck at moody. - I’d liken the haircut to one I’ve had from a £10 local inner city barber. Not worth £29 I paid but as it was Xmas even, I channeled my inner Xmas spirit and didn’t bother complaining. As I’m writing this review on Xmas day I’m trying to add something positive…and I can honestly say, the Iron Bru was really nice. So in summary, Harry needs to actually speak to his clients and offer advice especially if they ask. Maybe smile? Learn some more barbering skills. If you can’t be bothered to work on a particular day, just don’t come in until you can actually be bothered to. Don’t stop stocking Iron Bru in your fridge.

Tip: if you work in the city centre there is a discount available. Ask for it. Better to book but you can walk in and ask. Generally good service. I've had one barber charge me a different price (£10 or more) to another which is slightly odd. Might be related.to.the disount.
