Shop staff are okay but mechanics are terrible. Both incompetent & rude. Brought in a bike for a chain replacement, had to wait half an hour just to see someone, was told I could leave my bike and come back the next day to pick it up. Came back the next day at the time I was told and it wasn't done so I had to come back the following day instead. A week after the repair, after only a few times riding the bike the chain snapped in the middle of an intersection due to incorrect tensioning and a missing quicklink. The mechanic at Evans cycles denied any fault on their part and refused to remedy the situation in any way, claiming it was my fault that the chain broke based on how I was riding. My previous chain lasted many years with zero issues so I very much doubt that. Would not return here for any bike maintenance.

Had a very pleasant experience at Evans - my chain had slipped out of the crank and called in ahead of time to see whether it could be sorted. I wheeled it in and they did a very quick job of fixing it free of charge. Very professional, quick and accommodating. Would highly recommend for any issues!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would like to share my experience with the team at Evans Cycles 🚲 in King’s Cross, where we were served and looked after by Noah and Bal, who both went above and beyond in helping us. I was especially impressed that the standard of service was just as good when I visited the Lakeside branch, where I was procuring a large hybrid road bike for my son. We originally chose the Trek Dual Sport 2 Hybrid Bike, but unfortunately it could not accommodate mudguards, which were essential as this bike will be used for school. Due to Evans’ warehouse relocation, not all stock was available online, but the staff were transparent and extremely helpful in advising us. We decided instead to go for the Cannondale Quick CX 3 Hybrid Bike. We ordered mudguards and several accessories, and although not everything was in stock, the team guided us through alternatives, helped assemble the bike, and gave us valuable advice on how to maintain it. Bal took the time to explain the hydraulic brake system, how to re-attach the quick release wheel, as well as the dos and don’ts for everyday use. They even advised us on the optimum PSI for tyre pressure, something many shops might overlook. At the Lakeside branch, they measured my son properly and advised us not to buy until we were sure it was the correct fit — showing that customer care came before sales. Overall, I am extremely impressed with Evans Cycles. The staff are clearly well-trained, customer service is paramount, and they operate with good old-fashioned values of honesty and professionalism. The service standards were consistently excellent across all three branches I visited. 👏 Thank you so much, Noah, Bal, and the Evans Cycles team — highly recommended!
