Strongly advise against Car Planet – ignoring problems and no after-sale support I purchased a Ford Kuga from Car Planet on May 19, 2025, and the vehicle was delivered to me on May 23. On the very same day, I requested to return the car and get my money back due to serious issues — including four different tyres, which is unacceptable for an AWD vehicle, and the car pulling to the right during acceleration (which later turned out to be caused by incorrect wheel alignment). The company ignored my request and only offered a refund for the tyres and vehicle diagnostics. On June 14, I contacted them again regarding an alternator failure, but received no response for several weeks, so I was forced to replace it at my own expense (£701). Car Planet refuses to reimburse me, claiming there was no prior contact — despite the fact that I have email evidence proving otherwise. Additionally, the front bumper had clearly been repaired and repainted before purchase, which was not disclosed. There are visible white paint overspray marks on the black trim and a crack exactly where filler was applied. The company claims this is “normal wear and tear”, which is completely unacceptable in my view. I absolutely won’t let this go and will be taking legal action. I have full evidence, including email correspondence, photos of the vehicle, and receipts for all work I’ve had to carry out. Car Planet is not a trustworthy company — I strongly advise others to stay away.

Just terrible. I brought a car from car planet Watford on 29th March 2025. This car would no longer drive or start up properly by 12th April. My dad dealt with car planet and I can say the communication they gave him was just terrible. Car planet has no time management skills or communication skills. My car was in THEIR garage for 6 weeks as they could not fix the problem. They insisted on using their garage instead of taking it to someone who knew what they were doing. They ended up writing my engine off the day they were meant to drop this car back off at my house. What if I had been driving that car? I’m absolutely appalled by this company. They gave me a car to get me by. This car was also rubbish. After all the information was given to my dad, they wanted their car back before a refund was issued. They “emptied” my car and put all items in a box. This box did make its way to my house, however was missing some things. The only good thing I can say about this company is that I got intouch with the after sales team and expressed how upset I was about they way we were treated and how they handled everything. I spoke to a lovely person called kleo in the after sales team, who got back to me within less than 24 hours with the remaining items in the car. These items made it safe back to me thank god. I would just avoid this place at all costs and just take your money elsewhere! This car has now sold again. Good luck to the owner of LN66CNC! My experience was absolutely amazing so smooth and staff were overly friendly very talkative! Made us feel comfortable. I was served by two people over the space of two days. One was Jamie who was an absolute star! And the next day when we picked the car up we had a man called Jay he was very welcoming and helped us get through all the paper work. Thank you to both Jamie and jay!
