Good, but some animals weren't visible such as the lions and the seals. Could've been because I was there on a hot summer day. Also they don't allow tickets to be booked after 3, but I had lots of time to walk round the park and see everything in just over two hours, though it was just me. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone who likes animals and dinosaurs.

We visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Wednesday, 23rd July with our two young children (aged 2 years and 5 months) and had an absolutely wonderful time. The park is incredibly family-friendly and offers so much to see and do. We were amazed by the wide range of animals — from majestic polar bears and cheetahs to playful monkeys, towering giraffes, and curious capybaras. Our 2-year-old especially loved watching the sea lions swim and hearing the lions roar! We also spotted zebras, camels, lemurs, tigers, warty pigs, and many more fascinating creatures throughout the day. A real highlight was the Pangea – Discovery of Dinosaurs exhibit. It was brilliantly done, with life-sized models and interactive elements. Our toddler had the best time roaring back at the dinosaurs — it was pure joy to watch! The park is well laid out, clean, and easy to navigate even with a pushchair. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of places to stop for a rest, bite to eat, or a nappy change. We had such a fantastic experience and would highly recommend it for families with children of all ages. We’ll definitely be back again!

It's a very big place, so be prepared for walking. And it has lots of animals, but because they are enclosed in big areas (which is, of course, good for their well-being), it doesn't guarantee that you gonna see them, sometimes they are hiding somewhere or you do get to see them but from a very long distance. So maybe bringing binoculars would be a good idea. But overall I really enjoyed the visit. I got to see some of the animals very closely, others from a distance and others were hiding. There are many benches throughout for seating, many picnic areas and places to buy food and snacks as well as toilets all around the park.

Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment toward Yorkshire Wildlife Park is highly positive, with reviewers frequently highlighting enjoyable experiences, family-friendly amenities, and the breadth of animal exhibits. Visitors often mention the cleanliness, extensive walking areas, and helpfulness of staff. Minor criticisms revolve around not always seeing certain animals due to enclosure size or weather, and occasional suggestions for improved food court seating and wait times, but these do not outweigh the generally favorable impressions.

Common feedback includes praise for the well-maintained animal enclosures, variety of species on display, and thoughtful layout of the park, making it accessible for families, elderly visitors, and those with mobility needs. Guests also appreciate the educational aspects, such as live talks and interactive dinosaur exhibits, and note the reasonable pricing of food and merchandise. The park's adaptability to different weather conditions is mentioned, with some animals being less visible on hot days.

Overall, Yorkshire Wildlife Park enjoys a strong reputation for delivering a rewarding day out in Yorkshire, especially for families and wildlife enthusiasts. The consistent quality of customer experience, attention to detail, and well-cared-for animals help sustain repeat visits and positive recommendations within the region.
