My child, along with other students in the same grade, participated in a school-organized trip with World Strides to the Grand Canyon for four days and three nights. The cost per student exceeded $1,700, and parents were informed that the children would be staying in a four-star hotel, such as Marriott. However, they were ultimately placed in motels. On the final night, after dinner, some students began experiencing diarrhea and discomfort. No parents were notified at the time. After returning home, more than half of the participating students fell ill, experiencing symptoms such as fever, colds, and vomiting. I believe World Strides owes parents an explanation for this situation. The lack of transparency regarding accommodations and the failure to inform parents when students fell ill is unacceptable. Families trusted this organization with their children’s well-being, and the outcome was deeply disappointing.

My 12 year old went on a 4 day trip with Worldstrides. One of the worse experiences, every parents nightmare! Before going on the trip, WorldStrides did a presentation ensuring parents that kids will be put up in 4 star hotels, good food, safety etc. It was all fake for the lack of better words. They charged every child about $1700 plus dollars and the actual money they spent on the child was prov about $700 Just from my child’s batch the company probably made about $70000 profit. They put up kids in the cheapest motels, provided poor quality meals including giving kids minimal money to buy food. A large number of kids returned back home extremely ill with exhaustion, dehydration stomach flu, vomiting high fever, etc. Any one of these kids could have had dire consequence.World strides did not inform the parents that such a large number of kids were ill neither have they shown any liability or accountability. I am surprised this company hasn’t been sued yet as it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. I am just glad my child came back safe. No school should be contracting with this company no matter what they are promised in return! Children’s safety should always come first. I would high recommend all parents read reviews and better business bureau complaints against this company before sending your children on trips with them. I hope this company is audited. Kids safety is not their priority. The only priority they seem to have is to profit unethically through these young kids.

I sent my kids on a trip to the Grand Canyon. We paid a lot per kid - they were put in bad MOTELS after being lied that they will be in a Marriott. Food was horrible. Most kids returned home sick and to boot no email from them telling about kids being sick. They flew back sick kids home on a plane/ bus one kid who had influenza. DO NOT TRUST and send your kids with this company that is obviously out to just make money even at your kids well-being sake. Then they had the audacity to send an internal review for parents to do - how stupid does this company think we are! I wish I had seen the reviews before agreeing to send my kids!
