B “Mum had previously taken out a funeral plan, some 10 years ago when our dad died. However, about three years ago, Mum decided to have a family chat with my sister and I about cancelling that plan and taking out a Pure Cremation plan instead. This not only gave her back the £4500 she had paid in advance but insured that one day, when the time came we as a family could celebrate Mum‘s life with her ashes when we all felt ready and without the emotion of an old-fashioned funeral. It was also £3000 less! Sadly, for us, the time came in June 2025. Following a very emotional and heartbreaking few weeks Mum passed away. From that moment on dealing with Pure Cremation was so simple and empathic. Every step of the way they treated us with dignity and respect. Mum died at home, so from collecting Mum‘s body to returning her ashes we were kept informed of what was happening and on what dates. I really cannot recommend the service they provide enough. It has made what is a very difficult time for our family far less stressful. Mum‘s ashes were returned by the most lovely young lady, Brooke. Unfortunately, we missed her phone call whilst she was on the way to us. She explained that she likes to ask what music the person she is returning liked, so that if we liked she could play it for them in the car. Mum‘s ashes arrived home in a beautiful biodegradable box decorated in a picture of lavender - the last time Mum went to the garden centre with my sister she had purchased three lavender plants as at this time she did not know she was so poorly. Brooke explained that they have a selection of pictures, but it brought us comfort to think that Mum had chosen the lavender picture. If you are thinking about a direct cremation please do not hesitate in using Pure Cremation. Wonderful attentive staff, beautiful crematorium and grounds, your loved one returned to you with care. The cost of the cremation plan is exceptional for the service that you receive and once fully paid nothing else will be added.”
