Reviews Summary

Reviewers of Craig Tara Holiday Park report a predominantly positive overall sentiment, emphasizing helpful and friendly staff, well-maintained grounds, and high-quality evening entertainment. Common feedback includes praise for the family-friendly atmosphere and wide range of activities for children. However, there are notable criticisms regarding cleanliness in some caravans, inconsistent food quality, and the need for better site upkeep around central facilities.

The most mentioned themes are clean and comfortable accommodations, entertainment value, and the convenience of on-site activities. Guests frequently describe the swimming pool and kids' amenities as highlights but note frustration with high drink prices and occasional delays with activity or facility access. Suggestions for improvements often center on better cleaning protocols, enhanced supervision in communal areas, and clearer logistical communication.

Overall, Craig Tara Holiday Park maintains a solid reputation as a budget-friendly and engaging option for families in Scotland. What can I say about craig tara. Easy checkin. Best to pay for early checkin, as you can make the most of your first day. Staff very friendly.especially Jen on reception who gave us a free upgrade due to grandkids disability. Silver caravan on Electric Brae is very peaceful. Altho a hard walk back up the hill. Entertainment top notch for the kids and adults.Dave on the Costa van a very nice fella. Jamie the barman in bonga wonga a nice lad. The pool is great for kids.the bad bits are mediocre food in the restaurant. In fact , staff could clean the bar and trays for serving drinks.in need of a supervisor to ensure bar cleaning is done.no good standing waiting for next customer.put a cloth in there hand.a bit chaotic when entering the pool to change. Advise staff to say, use upstairs changing rooms.all in all , enjoyed it. Bring plenty of cash if you have kids or want to buy alchohol. Will I be back, maybe when they tidy the site, as it looks very tired around the entertainment centre.

Our first little holiday as a family here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The park is great, very well maintained and kept very clean. The reception staff were very helpful with any queries we had. The food at Brigs of Ayr was very nice, we didn’t go there expecting anything gourmet. You get exactly what you pay for. The only negative is the ChopStix noodle bar food, it’s extremely bland and can tell it’s the cheapest ingredients used. But again, get what you pay for.. The entertainment was brilliant each night, lots to include the kids with and even us adults enjoyed a good singalong. If you’re looking for an affordable getaway on a budget is what you’re looking for, then this place is exactly what you need. We’re booking again for September this year. Great job to the crew all round.

A terrible experience! We were there for a holiday for our disabled son. Sadly I will never return. The double bed was broken, mattress stained and only two pillows for three people. The bin wasn’t even emptied when we arrived! The site itself is neglected and the swimming pool is unclean and parts are very dangerous. We complained and only a small fraction of our issues were resolved. This was so disappointing especially as the setting in Scotland is stunning! I am still waiting to hear if we will get any money back.
