I stayed at the Crealy Resort in August 2025 in one of their glamping lodges. The lodge itself was well set up, easily sleeping six people. It was clean on arrival and conveniently located close to reception, yet far enough away that we didn’t hear any noise. There were a few dishes provided—enough for us to prepare some basic meals—and the reception team were very friendly, always happy to answer any questions. The nearby toilet facilities were always spotless, and it genuinely felt like every time I went there, someone was cleaning. This was great to see. The showers, while clean, were another story—cold to lukewarm at best in both the male and female blocks. I mentioned this to reception, and they explained that the resort uses a biomass heating system, so the later you shower, the cooler the water will be as it needs time to reheat. However, when you’re spending nearly £1,000 for four nights, I do think it’s reasonable to expect adequate hot water for all guests. Another disappointment was the absence of the food vouchers that we’d received on previous stays in our arrival pack. Without these, the food and drink on site didn’t feel like good value for money. For example, a pizza in the Adventure Play Zone cost nearly £14—and I actually saw them take it out of a frozen packet in the back. They’ve also removed the yard slush cups this year, meaning you’re forced to buy a Sooty/Sweep/Sue version to use the refill system. Happy hour and pitcher deals also seemed to have disappeared, again adding to the feeling of reduced value. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but if you’re planning on staying for an extended time, I’d recommend either preparing your own meals at the accommodation or being ready to pay a premium for food and drink on site.
