Our non-profit corporation has hired Karen to take staff professional headshots, and I’ve also worked with Karen on two location photo shoots for our flagship magazine. One involved photographing a school principal at various spots inside the school building, and another was of two high-level executives set within our offices during business hours. Karen artfully blends together three solid strengths—solid technical expertise, an artistic eye, and a relatable personality—to deliver beautifully crafted, high-end photographs. Karen has the best equipment for the job, and understands the technical specs required for our high-end publishing needs. Her gifted eye for dynamic composition delivers images that are beautifully composed, focusing viewers’ attention to the subject while still integrating the sense of place, so as to establish the best emotional tone for the piece. Finally, Karen captures the personality of the subjects by personally connecting to them as she’s setting up the shots. She has great rapport with the people in the shots, putting them at ease so they can be comfortable and look natural.

Our collaboration and onsite experience with Karen Sayre from Eikon Photo was professional and outstanding. We organized a medical event in Washington DC, we shortly discussed of what we had in mind by email and she basically did the rest. Karen has a lot of experience which was shown clearly in the end result including an excellent group photo to take home with.
